Pat Murphy came out and spoke with us for quite a while about our extensive project and our desire to establish low maintenance landscaping. We also spoke with him about our concerns about saving cost and he provided several options to consider so we could stay within a reasonable budget. He also helped us with design suggestions. From the time we received the estimate to the start of work was just a few weeks. Start of work was delayed a few days due to weather, but Pat was communicated well to keep us informed as to scheduling. The work itself was completed in about three days, and we couldn't be more happy with the results. Pat and his crew did the work they said they would and exceeded our expectations in their attention to detail. They made small finishing improvements to the landscape that we hadn't discussed and which really made a difference. The result is a welcoming but tidy landscaped yard that we're thrilled with.

These guys were outstanding. Very responsive, consultative and professional. While Pat himself is involved his team is equally impressive. With the amount of mess made during the project they left it cleaner then when they arrived. We will use them for future landscaping.

This was the second time we used Murphy Lawn & Landscape for our landscaping needs. Our goal was to improve our backyard to be much more usable, especially with young children. Murphy's bid for the job wasn't the lowest we received, but it wasn't the highest, either - and it was competitive with the other bids. His trustworthiness, professionalism, and the quality of his work on our previous job made the difference. Aside from weather delays, the project was completed in a timely manner, and we are thrilled with the results. Pat Murphy and his crew are extremely professional, respectful, and easy to work with. I especially appreciated Pat's flexibility when plans changed here or there as the project materialized. You can imagine how homeowners can drive these guys crazy from time to time with indecision, changing minds, etc., but Murphy and his crew rolled with it when I said things like, "can you add this in there, too?" or "no, let's put the garden here instead." They worked with us to make sure everything was just how we wanted it. Bottom line is you might find some cheaper options out there for landscaping work, but Murphy seems to take pride in his work and reputation, which isn't the case with everyone out there these days. All our neighbors - even ones we hadn't met before - keep giving us compliments on how our new yard looks, and you can tell it was done to look great for a long time. We'll definitely call him again the next time we need work done.

We selected Murphy's Lawn & Landscape for new sod and to install two gardens. Pat was quick to respond to our request and returned all of our e-mails and phone calls immediately. Pat seems very knowledgeable; he helped us design our gardens and he made us feel comfortable in asking any question. Their prices were more than fair and they installed quality materials. The project itself was efficient and done within the contract specifications. They also cleaned up the work site and Pat has given us advice on how to protect our investment. We would definitely recommend Murphy's Lawn & Landscape.

I cannot stress how impressed I was with Pat and his crew. They are a smaller company/crew in size but not in expertise and experience. They knew what they were doing from day one in what was the biggest project for us so far, something you are wary of given past experiences or horror stories about with some contractors, but Pat and his crew make it go smoothly and professionally. Pat and Eddie will come out to talk in detail about your job, giving you options and recommendations. We had an unusually long delay on our end, before we could start the work, but Pat was more than patient, keeping in touch to see when we were ready. Once work started Eddie and his crew were fast and efficient and on-time in their estimates, even given some bumps in the road. Unexpected issues with utility lines and the retaining wall were just that, even when they had to dig out the trench manually. They just relayed the information to me and made sure I knew why it may take longer. A similar thing happened with an unexpected extra layer of rock in one corner of the house as well, something else that wound up being more work than expected. Same result. We had some other relatively minor changes we made to the job once it started which were no issue at all. Pat is very helpful in discussing options and pricing. Given their excellent pricing and timelines to finish the work, and the ease of working with Pat and his crew, I will definitely use them again.
