Friendly and knowledgeable service for my lawn at a fair price.
I spoke to Pat Murphy on the phone and described the work needed. Â We scheduled an appointment to look at the area within the next couple of days. Â Pat arrived on time on the scheduled date and was very thorough in looking things over. Â He asked a number of questions and wanted to see where water was coming into the house and garage. Â He was able to see the problem areas and provide a solution. Â Pat has been very nice to work with thus far, and responsive. Â We look forward to Pat doing this project for us.
I used to use them. Â I wanted another service that could come earlier in the week for me. Â I just needed someone with a different schedule. I can't remember what they charge. They were a good company. They were great. Â They came regularly and they did a good job. I would recommend them. They do what they promised. They clean up after themselves. They are always tidy.
Murphy's is very prompt and professional. Â They do a very good job. Â Very reliable.
It was fine. It went well. They were consistent and my lawn looks nice.
The patio turned out quite good. The border is substandard. The layout is crooked, some of the bricks are buried too deeply, some one slanted. The patio garden edge dips down and forms a 'cavern' which is hard to mow and the soil and grass are above the height of the bricks. The snow arrived before completion and the brim couldn't be smooth and the rocks couldn't be crushed. I was told it would be done in spring of the following year. I called a couple of times and was told I was on the list, but as far as I can tell the same rocks and lumps are there, execpt for the ones I managed to move or break up. I approached the company last year about the edgers received an estimate to re-do the edgers.
I wonder [Removed member name] I warned [Removed member name] that the brick edgers will be uneven due to the numerous roots in her yard. Regarding the slope of the patio, it was necessary to match your doorway to the patio and to match the sidewalk To the driveway. There was approximately a 6 inch difference in elevation. There is no Way to accommodate this other than putting in a step which we wanted to avoid because the homeowner wanted one smooth surface. Regarding the debris that was left over we did remove it once the snow had melted. There was gravel in the alleyway but since the alleyway is meet on a gravel this was debris that was left over from whoever plowed her alleyway in the winter. We completed everything As per our contract and we even went beyond our contract. But because this job was done in November and we received a abundance of snow we were unable to haul all debris away until spring the following year. We made her aware of this and it seems like she may have forgot.
I hired this service to fix a bad grade outside my home, with water intrusion in the basement as a result. I found Mr. Murphy to be highly knowledgable. His pricing was about half of what it would have cost to fix the problem from the inside of the house. He is professional, expert at what he does, punctual, is a good communicater...all of the important qualities that are rarely found any more in service people.
It seemed to have come out really well and the work didn’t take that long.   It looks like it is going to do the job it was intended for. They did a pretty good job. It was not super expensive. I would give them a good recommendation. I have not seen a lot of their work and I was not involved in it. They did a really good job for me and they didn’t take that long. It was a real good price because I got another estimate and it was much more involved and they were going to charge. The job that needed to be done was not that involved. They did exactly what I needed to be done. I had to just have the front part leading from the foundation re-sloped at a proper angle. They had to put some new rock after the plastic was put down. It came out really well. They came out when they said they were going to and in a fairly quick manner. They had it done the same day on which they started working on it.
