Reviews
Write a ReviewIt went really good. I would use them again. I thought the skylight was a little costly, but overall a good service.
I originally purchased a repair-sale ad appearing on Angie's List, as I had a couple of shingles missing from my 13 year old roof. Â I was told, initially, by the responding repairman that the roof might be eligible for full replacement from my insurance company. Â He said that he would have a sales rep to contact me for further action. Â Chris Whitten contacted me, examined the roof himself, and suggested that I allow my insurance company (State Farm) to make an assessment. Â Chris was here when the State Farm claims evaluator made his inspection. Â Indeed, the roof qualified for full replacement and I allowed the work to be done by Brian Elder Roofing who agreed to do the work for the amount of the claim. Â Additionally, I chose to upgrade the work, two upgrade levels to the highest level of roofing, by using an Angie's List coupon (for a free upgrade) and to pay the small additional fee for shingles and the ridge vents that are guaranteed for as long as we live at this location. Â The work was completed on time and in excellent fashion with a total cleanup of the areas around my home. Â The work was done in one day and the result is beautiful. Â Many of my neighbors have inquired with Chris about their own homes and he is working with them to gain insurance approvals. Â I cannot say enough GOOD about the total job given to me by Chris Whitten and Brian Elder Roofing. Â I highly recommend them to you.
I suppose that they were friendly enough, there was no issue there. I personally felt that they did not know what the issue was but did suggest ways to fix an entire section of the roof instead of finding where the issue was. We got someone else out that was able to give us more detail instead of replacing an entire roof.
[Member name removed], Thank you for your honest assessment of our services. In my experience, there is often a correct way and a cheap way. Since I honor my warranty in both cases, I direct my repairmen to not offer the cheap way unless they are certain doing so won't expose us to warranty issues. I am happy to hear you ended up with your problem solved for the price you liked. I am happier still that we offered a fair price for what we believed was the correct repair. Certainly that is why you got more than one estimate.
It went good
Thank you for the positive response! Best Regards, Brian Elder Roofing
Dwight Treadwell, the sales manager, was wonderful to work with. Â He explained everything completely, scheduled the initial roof inspection and the following inspection by the insurance adjusters, and was always friendly and professional. Â The roof work began punctually and was done beautifully even in decidedly cold temperatures. Â The ceiling painter did a great job as well. Â They left the property cleaned of any debris or nails. Â This was one of the best experiences we've ever had in getting work done on the house, made better by the fact that what sounded too good to be true, the company's offer to work with our insurance company to cover most of the expense, actually came about. Â We have a beautiful new roof that we paid for with only our homeowner's deductible.

We wanted to be certain that there was not insurable wind damage done to our roof, since we discovered some ceiling damage in our garage. Chris met with our insurance agent, and after consultation, it was decided that there was roof damage, but the amount was under our deductible of $1000. Paul and a coworker then came out and fixed the roof. We were impressed with everyone we dealt with at Brian Elder. They arrived when they said they would and did what they said they would do. Everyone was courteous and explained what was going on. We were very pleased with Brian Elder Roofing and highly recommend them.
OMG; I can't say enough good about this company. I am a female with no knowledge of roofing but needed a new roof. I searched Angie's list and found this roofer who had 53 A+ reviews. I knew he had to be awesome. When I called the company, Brian himself answered the phone. I was shocked! I was expecting a recording. He was extremely nice and professional. He told me not to worry that he would take care of my roof and gave me the name of the guy who would be calling me and the time he would call. This guy called and did call the time Brian said he would. My roof was put on in 4.5 hours and cleaned up on the day it was scheduled. Not one nail was left in my yard or driveway. I was so impressed! My neighbors were also impressed. So impressed they came to me to tell me how awesome my new roof looked and they wanted to know who did it. The street I live on has a roofer at both ends of it and they were so upset with my new roof they called the city to ask them to come see the roofers here to be sure they had a permit to do my roof. Brian Elder Roofing had everything in order these other roofers were just so upset I didn't use them to the point they just wanted to give my roofing company a hard time...but you can't mess with perfection like Brian Elder Roofing... I am still at awww with them. I will go to the company and meet Brian myself. I sent him pics of my roof! I'm thinking he is also impressed with his company...haha You can't go wrong using this company...
