I hired Joey and his team to do work. I got them through home Advisor. It happened that it took them longer to complete their job and so Joey told me that he will be charging me more money because it it's taking them longer to complete their work. When I refused that same night to pay any extra money, they completed the job. I paid for the services but then I had some questions about the job but Joey never returned my calls after many days and several attempts to reach him. He also had some particular measurements to give to me and he never did; I simply could not reach him . Use someone else.

(consumer name withheld per their request) hired us to do the work in a short period of time. She was asked to make sure to have her renters out of the house when we arrived so that we could do the demolition in a short period of time as agreed upon, and do it without endangering anyone. However, when we arrived to take out the wet and moldy drywall from the hurricane she had not gotten her renters out. In fact we could not even get into one room since the door was locked with the renter in it until late afternoon. We explained to her that there could be an extra charge since we would have to come back to finish. She finally got her renter out of the area so we could demo. We had to work until late evening to finish due to this. We gave her a break and did not charge for the extra hours we stayed which was about 8 or 9 pm at night to finish. She did not offer to compensate us for not being able to gain entrance to part of her rental house as agreed. We understand that the hurricane probably stressed her out. She was out of state and trying to understand what was going on was stressful for her. Some people do not understand that no one should be in a house during a demolition but we could not get her to understand that it was dusty, noisy and dangerous due to the chemicals used to kill mold that were being put down. It is unfortunate that she did not appreciate our understanding.

The only problem is that the do not accept credit cards. Otherwise, the work was excellent, timely and the guys provided amazing customer service. I would recommend them to everyone.

It was an absolute pleasure doing business with DC Builders, especially with Connie and Joey. Though I have a small backyard, they made me feel like a valued customer. The team was quick to respond to all my questions and the work completed was absolutely beautiful! I’m so happy that I immediately started sharing photographs of the work DC Builders completed to friends, family members, colleagues, and even the realtor who helped me purchase my new home. My husband and I wanted to replace an old deck and flagstone walkway at the front of our house with a stained concrete porch. DC Builders were able to do the job within budget and within our time line. We had some structural issues going into the job that I was nervous about, but Joey solved the problems. I am very critical of bad craftsmanship, and I am seldom completely pleased with work we have had done in the past, but Joey and his team came in and did a remarkable job. They were there when they agreed to be and were very respectful to both me and my property. Joey kept me updated at all times. I am extremely happy with the new porch. It's beautiful!

In mid of the project, we changed and added to the design of our extended driveway project. DC Builders quickly made the adjustments and pored the extra concrete w/o any issues. Joey and Connie were easy to work with. Their crew understood the project and worked efficiently to finish the job.
