Are you dealing with mold or water damage to your home from a storm or other catastrophic event? Absolute can be there to respond and help you. Having dealt with these types of problems at many properties, you can rest assured that Absolute has the knowledge and understanding of how to handle your mold or water problems correctly, including restoring and repairing damage caused to your home to your complete satisfaction. Free inspections and estimates will be performed and provided to you directly by the owners of Absolute, not a salesman. All work performed by Absolute is done with in-house workers, not subcontractors. This work will be done under the direct supervision of one of Absolutes owners, who will be on site at your project from start to completion, being able to answer any of your questions and respond to any of your concerns insuring quality workmanship is being performed in a timely manner at reasonable prices, while treating your home as if it was their own.

I chose to work in this industry because We have over 50 years construction experience between both owners which allows us to understand & correct foundation, drainage & mold problems that other companies would not recognize.

Test for Toxic Materials & Mold

Used these guys in the past, did a great job drying my basement and fixing structural damaged. Very professional, courtesy and do a clean and neat job. Repair Damage from Dry-rot, Water or Pests

We called Lou when we had water damage in our home after a storm. He came out to the house within 24 hours and was able to get everything done in less than a week. He and his crew were efficient, professional and made sure to address every issue to ensure that our problem was resolved. Waterproof Inspection / Certification Service

Lou and his team at Absolute Waterproofing are hard working professionals and they did an awesome job on our basement. Our basement had flooded and we needed mold remediation and waterproofing. We called Lou and he made a stressful situation a lot more easier to deal with. He let us know step by step everything that needed to be done and he was very responsive and answered all of our questions. We highly recommend them!!

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
