"Now days you are reluctant to hire anyone to do any kind of work for you because you don't know what you will end up with. EK Electric is the exception. I couldn't be happier with Ermin's work. He is always on time, courteous and a hard worker. He was initially called to wire and install a chandelier, sconce and 2 ceiling fans. He did such a great job for a reasonable price, I had him do pot lights in the kitchen (14' ceiling), under cabinet lighting and install an island fixture. He even discovered some frayed wires when he removed a light switch. He will be my electrician from now on and I will recommend him to everyone."

"Teal Johnson came out and repaired the outlet in my garage that was preventing my garage door openers from working. The job was done in no time and he came back the next day to repair a recessed light fixture in a 15ft ceiling. He didn't charge extra for the light fixture job. He said it was included with the fee from his original visit. The price was very fair. He was professional and he knew what he was doing. I will definitely hire him again. Pam W., Tucson, AZ"

"The goal of this project was to provide 220V for my welder and electric vehicle charger. This presented a challenge as the garage is on the opposite side of the house as the power panel. Buckingham met this challenge by running the wiring from the power panel, up the exterior wall of the house, through the attic and into the garage. The work was completed in one day with quality materials and excellent workmanship. (Even the Oro Valley inspector commented on the good quality of the job). This company: Listens to the concerns of the customer Cares about the details. (no suprises) Does what it says it will do. Charges a fair price I will use Buckingham for any and all future projects that need electrical services and I would highly recommend them."

"Can not say enough good things about John. He was very dependable and showed up when he said he would. Work was outstanding. Had two separate jobs for him. First job was installing 3 screen doors which turned out great. Was not an easy job. He had to custom install all the doors. Second job was removing 6 eight foot long and 2 four foot fluorescent tube lights in our basement. Replaced with recessed lighting, repaired, patched and painted the ceiling. Also installed a circular light and repaired and painted ceiling in our laundry room. He is hard worker. Would hire him again and would highly recommend him. Maryann P"

A truly skilled, well-equipped professional with a truck full of parts that charges $100 an hour can be a much wiser choice than an inexperienced hack, working with inadequate tools and no parts, but charging much less. Often, more experienced professionals get the job done quickly with warrantied work.
2. Compare Travel ChargesRates reflect travel times. Travel charges can have a big impact on your costs and are in some ways easier to compare than hourly rates. Many electricians spend a third or more of their time navigating traffic on their way to a jobsite. Every contractor must find a way to pay for the expense of driving each day.
3. Bundle Repair Jobs TogetherWhen you feel it’s time to call a pro, review your list and then conduct a mini-inspection of your home. Look for faulty switches and dysfunctional or crowded outlets. When the electrician comes, you’ll save money and time by getting everything taken care of at once.
