"James was very responsive, came and helped out when we had an emergency, then added outlets, moved lighting fixtures, and replaced outlets with GFCIs. He was very quick, tremendously helpful, and had very fair pricing. He and his company are now my go-to for any electrical work, and I highly recommend them!!"

"So glad we found this electrician! He replaced our ceiling fan and installed a surge suppressor for us, and both jobs came out great. Fast, efficient, and the quality really shows. It's such a relief to find someone you can trust to do the work properly. I would definitely use again for next project!"

"Lucas was on time, cheerfully put up with the chaotic environment in my house, and fixed all of the problems and addressed all of the issues that I had. For $165, Lucas fixed numerous little electrical problems we had (power outage to several outlets in our kitchen and our stove's hood, an improperly installed light fixture, and broken heaters), including braving into our spider-infested crawl space. He also investigated why one of our circuits trips it's breaker all the time and gave us an estimate for having the bad heaters replaced. All told, this took him about 3 hours. He was extremely pleasant, quick, and well worth the $165."

"They ran into some weird problems with my old 1978 ground wires and ancient fuse box. Didnt slow 'em down. They had the whole thing ripped out, replaced with a better one, rotohammered and re-grounded my house, showed and told me what they were doing and what to expect. They worked with me to get my estimate to what made the most sense. Advised about fixtures and future proofing. 11/10 Mike an Nick were great. So good in fact, I'm setting up some more work. They were experienced, they were nice (fun even!)and no egos! Thats an almost impossible combo."

"They provided an accurate quote, were on time and did everything we needed them to do. What more could you ask for? On top of that, they made recommendations that saved us a lot of money and spent a little extra time upgrading some of our existing wiring so that we got the best quality install. The entire experience was great and easy and I feel like we made the right choice going with them for our job. If we ever have anything like it in the future they will be the first people we call!"

Electricians do a fair amount of larger remodeling and new construction projects but also common residential projects including:
For cost information related to the above tasks, visit our Electrical Cost Guide.
A truly skilled, well-equipped professional with a truck full of parts that charges $100 an hour can be a much wiser choice than an inexperienced hack, working with inadequate tools and no parts, but charging much less. Often, more experienced professionals get the job done quickly with warrantied work.
2. Compare Travel ChargesRates reflect travel times. Travel charges can have a big impact on your costs and are in some ways easier to compare than hourly rates. Many electricians spend a third or more of their time navigating traffic on their way to a jobsite. Every contractor must find a way to pay for the expense of driving each day.
3. Bundle Repair Jobs TogetherWhen you feel it’s time to call a pro, review your list and then conduct a mini-inspection of your home. Look for faulty switches and dysfunctional or crowded outlets. When the electrician comes, you’ll save money and time by getting everything taken care of at once.
