"The owner, Tito, and primary construction engineer came to my home to provide an estimate. They were kind and prompt and gave me options based upon my desires for my deck. And this was a deck redo from some prior shoddy work done by another company. They did not pressure me and overall seemed to want to provide a professional service and make it better. The next day, I had an email to provide a specific estimate . Tito remained available via email text or phonecall. They stuck to their estimated start date and kept in touch for any rain delays. They saved my pergola from the work of another contractor ....something they did not have to even try to do for me. I also asked for a privacy wall adjustment just prior to construction. Tito took my idea with ease and again gave me options. It was great, honest, prompt, reliable work at a good price. I would trust them with your hard earned money. I love my deck!!"

"I was hesitant to hire an out of town architect; however, Lynn has been amazing. I would highly recommend him for any project."

"We had a wonderful experience w/ Chadash. We hired Chadash to extend our driveway at our home in Mt. Lebanon. Adam did most of the work himself. He was diligent and precise. He communicated with us consistently and did what he said he was going to do. The finished driveway looks better than we expected. We would absolutely hire Chadash again, and I highly recommend them."

"Completed two full bathroom remodels. Was very open to my suggestions and gave me exactly what I was looking for. Tour out an old tub surround. And switched the shower and toilet locations. Not a simple project but it came out beautifully. I highly recommend this contractor."

Remodeling
"Ty at Lincoln Renovations is thorough, honest, and an excellent craftsman. He did an amazing job with a major renovation including taking out a structural wall, moving two staircases, adding an en suite bathroom to our primary bedroom, and completely remodeling the kitchen. He even salvaged old trim and repurposed doors to ensure the renovation stayed true to the original beauty of the home. He was great at communicating about unexpected changes to the scope and timeline, and offered different options mindful of our budget. We also hired him to repair and replace the porch, back deck, and all the exterior trim and gutters on our 100-year-old house and he made it look beautiful! Iâ d highly recommend Lincoln Renovations."

"Donny and his team transformed my basement from an old space just for storage to legit livable space. I work from home and these guys were respectful of my needs and cooperative with any changes I wanted to make. Donny was even able to make some suggestions on what might look or work better. If you have a project give Donny a call."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
