"Entire basement remodel including bathroom. Also added a front porch and stairs to my home. Great quality and workmanship. The transformation in the basement is amazing. It took a lot of creative workmanship to get every inch out of the space in the basement. Especially with the challenge of getting every inch out of the ceiling height. The porch and stairs they put in transformed the use of that space and curb appeal. Exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend Room Smith."

"Comfort Homes is by far the biggest bang for your buck. Their pricing is fair, communication with clients is unsurpassed and their experience, quality materials, craftsmanship, problem solving and attention to detail is superior. We hired Comfort Homes to tear down our old rotting deck, inspect and repaired the damage to our home due to the old deckĂ¢ s 1985 installation without flashing, and construct a new larger and more complex deck. Our Comfort Homes deck is a masterpiece. It spans two sides of our home with uniquely designed and constructed privacy gates. The Comfort Home crew was a delight to work with. They arrived each day on time and worked hard throughout the sweltering heat this summer. At the end of each day, they cleaned up, then let me know when they were leaving and what task would be accomplished next. Communication was key. I was kept informed at every level; who and when subcontractors were coming to my home, their assigned tasks, when supplies would be delivered and product delays. On the rare days they did not come to work on the deck, I was always informed in advance and why. Storms and product availability impacted the work schedule. As much as Comfort Homes has earned a stellar review for the work they did on our deck, I am hesitant to post the company review for fear they may become even more in demand and too busy to squeeze us in for future projects."

"Steve has been doing home maintenance projects for me for almost five years. He has built and installed cabinets, erected a garden shed, installed a window, and many other tasks. There has never been a job i requested that he could not do. I would give him a high rating."

"There is not one thing that I can see from my experience with her that can be improved upon. She came to my former home to see what I liked. Then, when she began working on my recent kitchen remodel, she was familiar with my style and brought samples of what she knew I would already like and be appropriate."

Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
