Reviews
Write a ReviewHave not recieved a call back to complete the job. As the counter was not sealed correctly and have called for this problem to be fixed and have not heard back from them. They were paid in full. Also I was not told I have to call for the inspectors to come see the job.
they have not started yet. Customer service was the best. Walked me thru the whole process of picking out tile, grout, floor tile light fixtures, shower head and controls. Plus worked within my budget. Steve is the Design Consultant and he went above and beyond to get everything right. Great Company.
Pros: the sales rep/designer helped us plan our dream bathroom and we love the final product! The installer was attentive to my special needs, and provided wonderful custom touches, and was very nice. Cons: The scheduling and communication was very frustrating, and the job took much longer than necessary; we think the installer cut our tile IN THE HOUSE while we were on vacation and we returned to a house entirely covered in tile dust, which is impossible to clean. However, in the end we were able to overlook the negative because we are so happy with our new bathroom.
They showed up on time every day and worked until that part of the project was finished. The whole remodeling took only four days. I didn't get a few of the amenities that I wanted, but that was due to the way the braces in the wall were originally done. I would definately recomend this company.
Their work is amazing but the scheduling could use a little work. I love my new bathroom and would use them again.
I undertook a $27K project with Yancey and my lesson learned is to never allow the contractors to demolish 2 important areas in your home (master bath and kitchen counter) at the same time. That proved to be the worse thing that can happen to a homeowner unless you move out of your house while construction is on-going.The quality of work is great. However, scheduling and attention to details leaves much to be desired. I am generous with the rating because I know they did their best & everything ended well but it came 2 weeks late with considerable amount of grief. So proceed with caution!
Don't know why they didn't include painting in the contract -- it seems odd that they wouldn't want to see the whole thing "finished."
Everything is still new, so I don't have any time/experience with the install yet, but I have seen about 14 bathrooms built over the years, and the work Fred from Yancey did was top notch. Scheduling took a while because they are busy, and I asked for the remodel at the height of the season, but once they started, they were fast, and despite the speed, the craftsmanship is great. Out of all the bids I got Yancey was the most expensive, but for what I got, I feel they earned their money.
They were very fast, effecient and always did a great job of cleaning up Every day. Would definitely use them again.
The project manager Linda was wonderful. My main problem was that the painting was not up to par and I didn't like the color of the grout (I did point both of this issues out). Also the toilet leaked and had to be "resealed". I would expect that at some time near the end of a project a review would be done by someone else from the company.
