Unique Bath Design, LLC

(REMOVED), owner of UBD LLC, came to my condo unit on 10/9/25 (please see attachments). I was very impressed with him, and I had his company to some extent before signing the contract. The company was incorporated, and there was a licensed contractor that I found for the LLC on the DBPR website, as well as reviews, which led me to believe that I made a good decision. I was wrong. I kept calling the office manager (Erika Gaitan, Joel Gaitan's wife), constantly asking when they were at least going to send us samples/pics of the granite countertop, backsplash, sink, and bathtub enclosure. Nothing was ever emailed or texted to me. I went to the City of Hollywood building permits department, and no permit was issued. It took them 47 days from the date of the signed contract (10/9/25) until they actually applied for the permit (11/24/25). This in itself is unacceptable (part of the attachment). The permit was never issued by the City of Hollywood because they stated to me that some of the paperwork had not yet been completed. On March 6, 2026, I decided to file a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). This too fell on deaf ears as there was no response on the BBB website to my complaint. The bottom line is that I just want to get my $6,250 refunded. I want to be made whole. This is a blatant breach of contract, and there needs to be a resolution for me in this appalling matter. Please refer to the .pdf file attached, which contains all of this pertinent information. ( I would have given all 0s to the below survey questions, but that was not an option).

Unique Bath should be everyone's first choice for a bathroom remodel. The service and installation is great. I highly recommend them.

Unique Bath did a renovation of our guest bathroom and, while the job was performed in a timely and, generally, acceptable manner, they have been unresponsive to multiple communications after the job was completed and paid in full. The project required some sheet rock work, because a smaller medicine cabinet was installed, which was done poorly. We did not see the extent of the problem until after we repainted the wall a week after the project was completed. Unique has not responded to our complaint. Overall, the renovations were done to our specifications but the failure to be responsive after the fact and speak to us to assess the problem and correct the poorly installed sheetrock is troubling.

It was an outstanding job. Working with Erika with scheduling, updating, and staying in contact was perfect and appreciated. They were flexible and accommodating. Responsive to our needs. Ronnie was excellent, I can’t say that enough. We’ll be calling them soon for more work and I would if I were you. They delivered a great experience and product.

I would happily recommend Unique Bath to anyone. They were friendly, professional and the quality of work was exemplary. Their price was also very reasonable. From start to finish, it was a great experience!
