They did good work but the invoice price for the installation wound up being 28.9% higher than the original quote and 11.3% higher than the written quote. Look out for the gotchas!

Dave, We appreciate your feedback. Just to clarify, it's very rare that we install HVAC equipment that is provided by the homeowner. In your case you provided the entire system but in the quote I made it clear that if we had to provide any materials we would be charging for those materials. This is why your invoice was $315 higher than your original quote of $2780. PS - good job on your math as that $315 of extra equaled exactly 11.3% higher than your written quote. Examples of items that were not included with the unit were thermostat, float switch, electrical disconnect & whip... You had received an estimated cost from me over the phone a week or two before you called us back and that is when I agreed to meet you onsite to ensure I fully understood the job. Please note we had to carry the condenser up 2 flights of stairs and use a ladder crane/pulley to bring the condenser onto a roof. At that point in time we sent you a written quote to ensure you had the ability to compare our quotes with other contractors. I presume we were competitive/fair as you approved that written quote. I would have loved if you were 100% pleased with us. I notice you rated us 4.0 out of 5 for quality. Let me know if there is anything else we can do to ensure you feel we were 5 out of 5.
