Very much unprofessional contractor. And, here is what they did: - The windows were delivered after 5 business weeks, though I was told it would take 3. - Measured the windows wrong., tried to install the wrong windows until I stopped them. It took another 4 weeks to get the replacements, and 2 more visits to install. - Very poor workmanship. The kitchen window leaks air after installation. I later realized that they didn't fill in some of the gaps either.

Response from Company:

I am sorry you had a bad experience unfortunately the manufacturer put the frosted glass on the wrong window and we had to re-order it which takes a little time after the review was posted I called you back and offered to come back and fix any existing problems and you declined.

I measured and bought my windows at HD, contractor had issues with interior molding. Have the contractor measure and there shouldn't be a problem.

They did have to come back and fix some things that didn't go so well but they did come back and make sure to fix it.

Joe is a very nice individual who installed three basement windows for me. As a favor he also fixed some loose pieces of vinyl siding on my home which detached at no charge. I did have one concern with the window installation and an additional project which I needed assistance with. South Shore responded to my concern after a few weeks time and I am more than satisfied with the attention and customer service I received. Alan, the sales person is easy to get in touch with (he will never not answer you phone call) and came to give me an estimate within 30 minutes of my job request.

Overall the windows are great, they are solid and attractive. One screen has to be replaced as it didn't fit well. It would not stay up and moved back and forth inside the track. They have ordered a replacement. The sales person was not a high pressure type and the cost was fair compared to others. I do find the upper windows to be hard to pull up and down for cleaning, I am older, so it causes me to strain. I believe in time it will become easier when the insulation and up and down movement flattens the lining. Other than this I am happy with the product.

I just wanted to thank Alan for the competitive pricing and also Joe for quick professional installation on my porch window project. In less than two hours, the windows were delivered and installed. Cant ask for anything more than that. Thanks again great job.
