Repair an Asphalt Shingle Roof

Best experience I've ever had with a roofer. I spoke with Rico about a roof leak I had discovered. (It was due to rain for the next 4 days) he told me he could come by at 1 o'clock. He arrived early, went right to work, found the problem and had it repaired in just a few minutes. In addition to repairing the leak he was kind enough to use a broom and a blower to remove all the limbs and leaves off my roof to help prevent water from backing up under my shingles and causing a future leak. In the past I have had issues with several other roofing companies, but this person (Rico) and S.W.A.T Contracting are my new permenant go-to guys. Thank you for the EXCELLENT service, I really do appreciate it and will recommend you to everyone I know.

Inspect, Analyze or Certify the Condition of a Roof

The workmen arrived very promptly. They started at first light. They asked permission to park their trailer. Almost immediately the roof started coming down. This was about 6:45. A.M. by noon the job was completed, the job site was picked up. They spread tarps around the house and worked very clean I would definitely recommend this company.

This is the second time we have had SWAT Roofing do minor repairs on our roof. They respond promptly, keep us informed, and are always very courteous. They know that small jobs will eventually lead to big jobs. Rico is great! We will definitely call them again when the whole roof needs replacing.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
