I am very happy with the final result of my home remodel which included completing some cosmetic work in my bathroom that had been started by my husband but never finished, new Pergo floors in my hall and living room, painting in several rooms, gate installation on my front porch, new sliding glass door, new furnace and central air, and my personal favorite, a completely new kitchen. Jody, Sean and several of their employees and subcontractors worked in my home for the better part of a year. In a project of this scope, obviously there were a few issues that arose along the way but all were resolved to my complete satisfaction. When there was an occasional disagreement on an issue, Sean always ended the discussion with “don’t worry about it, I will take care of it. I want you to be happy”, a sign of a contractor willing to work with his customers to come to a fair resolution to any disagreement which to me as a consumer is everything you need to know when you hire someone to work in your home. Sean and Jody have become like family to me and I would recommend them, and I would use them again myself for any home improvement services needed.

Jody was responsive to my many questions about the work that the crew was doing at my house. What started out as a simple remodel of an addition became a larger job due to rot in the original poor framing. Justin K., who first led the crew, was very helpful in walking me through the steps of the process as things changed and this played out as I was told it would. The crew was hard-working, conscientious, professional and pleasant.

She was clear when communicating with me about all project needs, cost and timing and gave me a very reasonable estimate and timeline for the job. I got a second opinion from another contractor who had the same method of repair but at a higher cost and longer timeframe. I’m so glad I closer to go with this company! Shawn and his crew were committed, on time each day, skilled, knowledgeable, detail oriented, neat and organized. They found additional unexpected challenges as they worked and creatively tackled them in a way that did not increase my overall estimate- in fact we finished early and right on budget! Home Improvement Specialists made me feel like my house was in the right professional’s hands and we’re so lovely to work with. I already have a list of projects to hire them again for!
