Write a ReviewVery pleased with the quality of work.
Ruben is very conscientious and works to make the project the best possible!
Ruben did an excellent job building deck stairs for us, his comitment to excellence shows in everything he builds, looking forward to working with him on other projects around our home, highly recommended!
Rubins Work is excellent, what lets him down to the point I would never hire them again is their time management and quoting. I was quoted a price, a price that was higher that other contractors but I was impressed by their work on other projects. The work took much longer and they kept complaining about the project having issues and every time something came up they tried to "Re quote", if this was the case them I asked them why this didn't come up, or why in the contract ( which was hand written extremely poorly ) did this not get explained. Every time I was offered ". originally they told me the job was going to take three weeks, they have been at the job for 6 and not completing in a timely manner, BUT THE JOB has been done well, my problem with this whole thing is , don't come back to a customer after the fact because you messed up . In fact I helped them by buying a much more expensive pre assembled rail system to which I DIDNT ask them to discount the job, as I felt I would give them the benefit of the doubt on this EXTRA labor, the supplier could only send 8ft lengths , and Rubin asked me to pay 15 dollars PER CUT for a total of $900 to trim this rail down. I was quoted by a machine shop to come to my house set up a saw , cut all rails to the correct size for $160 dollars , I have since asked the contractor , cease work , as once again they were trying to way overcharge me in an attempt to recover costs that were not incurred by me. The reason i asked them to leave is I feel now I would be at risk that the work wouldn't get done, as they feel they had the right to try and charge me more. At this point I no longer trust them and am going else where.
I am sorry to see a relationship with a customer go bad like this. I pride myself on treating all my customers with the highest standards. The terms for our contracts are always very clear, and if we do need to ask for more, it is always with good reason. We then commit to making sure that the job is done with the highest quality; we never cut corners. I believe that shows in our otherwise perfect track record. With this customer, that commitment to quality is why the project was taking as long as it did but we were on track to complete the job as contracted. The customer then purchased these alternative railings, without consulting us, and even then we tried to adapt and serve the customer. The biggest part of why the cost of modifying the railings was so high is because we needed to be sure that, if something did go wrong in cutting them, that we could absorb the cost of replacing that piece of railing. We tried our very best but ultimately this customer would not see reason and that is why we are here.
Did an amazing job on renovating my bathroom! He was very trustworthy, extremely quiet, always cleaned up his mess, and went beyond our expectations! Would 10/10 recommend.
We hired Ruben to install a pair of French doors that we bought secondhand. Ruben did a fantastic job! The work involved shifting ductwork and electrical outlets, drywall and trim work, paint and floor patch. Itâ s was more work than initially anticipated but Ruben handled it professionally. Very reasonably priced; he reviewed all material receipts with me at the end of the job. I work for a well known general commercial contractor and would hire Ruben again.
