VERY WELLÂ Â ARRIVED ON TIME AND PERFORMED THE JOBÂ WELL
Excellent. Service installing and follow up. Highly recommend
Very good. Tested before they left. Neat and clean. Power has not gone off so we hope it works when it does however every week it turns on as it should. No complaints, very happy, and would recommend using them without hesitation.
They did not inform me prior to coming out that there would be a $75 dollar per hour charge to give an estimate and complete the paperwork for the permit. Before they started the work they wanted a deposit. I paid the deposit. Then they sent me an additional bill, that I paid. When I wanted them to come back to complete the wiring of the baseboard heaters, I wanted one electrician rather than two, because there were so few left to wire. I asked that they come back on a Monday. I was told I would get a response in approximately 30 minutes. I requested this in a email on Wednesday and I never received a response until 7 am on Monday from the electrician who was supposed to come out. He told me I had not paid the additional deposit requested. I had not agreed to pay the deposit for additional work. They wanted $1000 and I didn't think there was that much work left. I volunteered to pay $500 dollars as a deposit, and would pay additional money if the work went beyond that amount. Because I had not received a response for 5 days, I told them I was going to hire another electrician. They then went and changed the value of the work on the permit. And this resulted in a $150 price deduction. They then sent me another bill, stating that I had been charged $187.50 for the estimate and paperwork for the permit, instead of refunding this money to me. I was also being charged $75 per person for traveling to and from the job. I was being billed for travel time. In addition, when the owner came out to give me an estimate, he thought I need $7,000 or $8,000 dollars work of work. I had no intention of continuing with them because the estimate was so high. I had the work started because it was so cold, and I needed the baseboard heaters attached. The original permit was $300. The cost of the permit after adjusting for the reduced value of the work completed was $150. Then he added the $187.50 for the estimate and getting the paperwork. My math would say I am entitled to $150 refund, but he wants to send me a check for $12.50. I was charged $187.50 for trips, paperwork for city hall, time and proposed work that was not included on the original bill. I am giving them an A for the Quality because the work was done correctly, and an A for Punctually, because they did come on time. For me professionalism giving the customer all the information upfront, so I am giving them a D. I will never use them again.
Before agreeing to do any work for Mrs. [Member Name Removed] I very clearly informed her of the true amount of labor that was left to finish her homes wiring. She had been through three other electricians and multiple other contractors, based on my discussion with herself and others. As a condition for working for her I was very clear in what the reality of her job was, and that I would not work for her any other way but time, material and costs. As evidenced by the $8,000.00 number that she listed with this review as the cost of work, she had me pull a permit for the entire cost of the job, and gave me $1,000.00 to start. She desperately needed a licensed electrician to get the permit pulled to avoid legal action and razing of home by the city. She used me to get the permit issued, and then tried to dictate how I was to do my work. She is completely unreasonable, which was why she is in the predicament that she is in with this home. Once she refused to have me back saying she had another electrician, I had to spend time to revise the permit, and have another reissued for the portion of the work that I did do. Since she went back on her word, I had to charge her additionally for the time spent to go to city twice to correct the paperwork. I would not allow her to use my permit and license to have another unlicensed, less expensive electrician finish the work, which is what I feel she intended to do. As evidenced by the many good reviews we have, I would hope that anyone reading this would not take this persons bad review and opinion into consideration.

Job went well, no major difficulties.

It didn't go well. It then turned out that he knew the electrician that installed the lights incorrectly and wrote a false letter on his behalf. It was shady.  We asked for a refund, since he did not solve the problem. He stated that he would not give a refund, "went above and beyond" and "no longer wanted to deal with our issue". I would think twice about hiring an electrician who needs a $125.00 that badly.Â
There was an issue with the LED bulbs and dimmers that were installed by the previous electrician, that was not his fault either. It was fully explained, and we did our best to research and resolve the issue. The time we put into it was well worth the $125.00. Then they tried to nail the other electrician to the wall for something that was not his fault, so yes I wrote a letter in his behalf to the party who was requesting it for him. As is evidenced by the other reviews of ours on this site, this customer was not accurate in leaving the rating that she did.
They are good. They have good reviews. Their price compared to others is good. Their responsiveness was good and they were on time.
