Chris Miller and his company destroyed my new patio! The sealer the morons used was an incorrect sealer - which only trapped water/moisture between my paver stones and the sealer, They look wet - don't they?...but they're not! It took literally close to 2 weeks to completely dry out or evaporate, if it didn't rain. But after a fresh rain - back to what you see in the photos. My patio looked diseased! (see attached photos). Many months went by going back and forth with no one showing for scheduled appointments. When they finally did show - what was their answer? ...to add more of the incorrect sealer -- twice more! So now, the morons tried to use a paint stripper, to get off the three thick layers of the incorrect sealer. Power washing that off, damaged my home's vinyl siding and firepit cover -- when the bits of stripper that flew off -- landed on my siding and firepit cover -- leaving permanent marks on my siding and multiple chip marks on my firepit cover, where it ate away the paint. The morons were negligent and incompetent in not covering part of my siding in the area being worked on, with simple plastic sheeting, or for my firepit cover, with a tarp. You never speak to the same people at the office more than twice - and different workers show up every time....when they do show. This all due to a very high employee turnover rate, with these workers having little to no experience. The owner, Chris Miller, is another incompetent boob, not caring at all regarding fixing the problems, or the customer's needs. He's all about the money -- just wants to get paid for a failed job! I honestly don't know how this company stays in business. They have yet to fix these issues with my siding or firepit cover, many months later, both which need to be replaced. I had to hire another company to fix my patio paver problem, which THEY DID, the first time. Do yourself a favor, and save yourself a lot of headaches -- hire someone else for your outdoor projects! See you in court.
Response from Company:
Mr. [Member Name Removed], I'm very disappointed in your unprofessionalism. We have done nothing but show you respect and work with you to resolve a couple of issues we had along the way. The work didn't go perfectly, but we completed your job to the high standards of Cobra Deck and Concrete back in 2021. The attached photos will show the final results. Also, I have attached photos of the siding and fire pit cover that shows we cleaned them up with no damage to either. After we completed this work 3 years ago, you decided to not pay us after dozens of attempts throughout the last couple of years. You left us no recourse but to pursue payment in court. Your review was only posted AFTER this case was settled and obviously you are not happy with the results. If you feel there are some additional corrections to your project, I would be happy to meet with you to discuss anything that may have been missed and help to correct any oversights. Thank you.

From the moment I met Shaun I knew he was the man and Cobra was the company to do my job. Shaun came with the knowledge and know how to powerwash my delicate paint on my aluminum sided house and concrete patio. Very efficient with his time. And upon completion of the job he left my home and yard in excellent shape. Very happy with the job price and excellent customer service. Lauren thank you for keeping me informed all the from beginning til my invoice was sent. Your dedication to detail and customer service is impeccable. Cobra is on speed dial for all my upcoming jobs. Shaun you are hired

Overpromised, overcharged, underdelivered. In the past, we have stripped and refinished our large deck ourselves. But since we are 65 yrs old, we decided to let younger professionals do it. We also wanted our screened-in porch thoroughly cleaned of black mold. Based on laudatory reviews and the sales reps pitch about how great the deck would look, we went with Cobra Deck & Concrete for $2300. Over the course of 3 weeks (yes, weeks, not days), 5 different crew members came out. The first was a young woman who stripped the deck and washed the rails for staining (the sales rep told us the oil-stained rails would not need to be stripped). Admittedly, she worked hard, but the next day revealed that a lot of the decks latex stain remained. Also, the rails and lattice were still very dirty, so we stripped them ourselves. A few days later, a man came to strip a large patch of residual latex paint, but he did not remove any of the numerous patches scattered throughout, saying that sanding would take care of them. After a few more days, another man came to finish cleaning the missed moldy areas of the porch and did a very good job, but when we asked about putting down a protectant, he said it would cost $375 more (we subsequently did it ourselves in about 30 min). Finally, several days later, two more men came to sand and stain the deck. They acknowledged that the deck was not stripped properly, so we asked if they would strip it again. They said they should discuss it (presumably with the project manager). They decided to sand instead. They worked hard and while sanding removed most of the latex stain, it still left over 100 streaks and small patches throughout. Also, the sawdust filled the narrower crevices between the boards preventing drainage. They then put down one coat of stain and said they were done, as the wood would not absorb a second coat. Upon leaving, they said that it did not turn out as well as they would hoped due to all of the residual latex. At our request, they left us the unused stain (about 2 gallons). Since the deck looked even worse the next day, we cleaned out the crevices and put on a second coat (which went on just fine). In total, we put in about 19 person-hours stripping and staining. While it still does not look like new by any means, it is now marginally acceptable. To be fair, the crew worked hard, but was clearly rushing, so we suspect that the project manager (who clearly underestimated how much work was needed) wanted them to get onto other projects. And maybe that is why they decided to sand and stain the same day rather than re-strip the deck (ideally with a better stripper) and stain when the deck dried. Clearly our experience does not reconcile with the laudatory reviews, but since the company was called Renew Crew at that time, we wonder if there is a new owner. If so, it seems that once Cobra sank their fangs into Renew Crew, rather than provide the previously lauded service, they adopted a business model more along the lines of take the money and slither away.
Response from Company:
Ken, since we've never spoken, you won't take my calls, and won't come to the door when we visit I'm baffled as to why you took to social media to smear our company when the result of our work is gorgeous. I am unsure why you contracted our company to complete the work and then did extra work in between our visits, making is so that my technicians had an ever-changing scope of work to complete. All assigned technicians (including the manager) are perfectly capable of completing the tasks. Your proposal included a chemical strip to remove the old latex product, nearly 2 days? worth of sanding and a full stain of the exterior deck. All of which was completed. You requested additional work on the interior of the screen porch, which would have been an added cost, additional services are not free. Other than having to reschedule a few times due to the rain I would declare your deck project a great success and proudly use the before and after pictures of your deck to show other customers what great work we can do.
