Reviews
Write a ReviewI decided to hire a professional for staining my new deck. Had I known they wouldve done a worse job than me doing it myself, I would have saved the time and money I spent dealing with them. The work was a mess. These are not trained or experienced professionals.
Hired to stain deck, pergola and a 3-foot high 6-foot long fence in 2017. Crew got confused about what to do, checked with office, and then sanded parts of desk surface that did not need sanding, leaving areas much lighter than rest of deck. Trampled many plants in my flower bed, which had never happened with other painters. Salesman came out later and told us we had to apply stain every couple of months ourselves to the sanded spots until they matched. Said that my irises would grow back (which most of them did) but did not address loss of my expensive perennials that did not grow back. We paid about $1500 for this. Never again!!! We are looking for staining now, but will NOT use Renew Crew.

Very satisfied
The estimate was higher than some others, but given the reviews, we decided to go with Renew Crew. To say we are disappointed does not begin to capture our frustration. The job turned out to be more expensive than suggested. That is partly understandable, because we had to replace some boards, although we would have hoped that the inspection before the estimate might have seen this problem. After replacing some boards, the pressure washing seems to have damaged other boards that needed to be replaced. While we were told the new boards would not match the older boards, the current result is so blatantly different that we are embarrassed to bring people onto our deck. The odd thing is that when one committed worker (Mike) took the time, he did do a great job blending the color on some of the new boards so that it looked reasonably good. But for some reason, they were unable or unwilling to do that work on the remaining new boards. There were other places where the results just look "dirty." We were given excuses after the fact. but never told that this would happen. If we knew this ahead of time, we might have made different choices. The thing is, we had our deck re-stained before and did not have any of these issues. They tell me it will look better eventually. We can only hope. We do not know what to say. We had high expectations and they were not met--and it cost us a lot of money.
At Renew Crew, we strive to provide the best customer service possible. While there were some unforeseen issues with the project, we regret that we didn?t live up to this standard on your project. We hope we can make this right on a future service.
Work has held well into the year. Second time I’ve used this company. Will use again.
Good company
I had a concern regarding the deck overage and they addressed it immediately.
I liked that the boss came to inspect work and madesuggestions to his crew.
