Be sure to have him come out and give you an estimate ahead of time. When he arrived to do the work, he said he would have to raise the price from the estimate. Otherwise, he did a good job!
Response from Company:
I gave (consumer name withheld per their request) a quote over the phone and she had assured me that she did not have pane glass windows. i gave her a good price becuase i was trying to earn her business. However when I arrived to do the job (consumer name withheld per their request) house was 75 percent pane glass windows. in pane glass windows the amount of windows goes up exponentially. (consumer name withheld per their request) is a nice lady and I tried to be reasonable so I only charged her 50 for the extra hours I would have to be there. . In the end, (consumer name withheld per their request) got a very good deal and other than the miscommunication was a pleasure working for her.

Prime Tech was the only bidder for the job. Rodney was the representative who came to do the job; As we discussed what we wanted done (washing of the exterior--including windows-- of the front and back sides (two sides only) of our two-story house, repair the rotted wood on our back door after Hurricane Harvey, and power wash the driveway and front sidewalk. Unfortunately, instread of buying new wood for the door, he cut off only two pieces of wood for each side of the door jamb from a pile of old wood in the back of the yard, and then left without power washing (expecting an additional charge of $50 when he returned) taking $300 for everthing else. We should point out that he originally said $250 for the whole job and added additional costs. He left abruply without setting a specific date and time for the follow-up. We did not hear back from him for two or three weeks later and he called us to make a new appointment for the following week. He came back at that time, and power washed the driveway and front sidewalk, and kind of tinkered with the back door to no result and, then again, left abruptly. Afterwards, we talked by telephone that we would like a breakdown of what we were exactly paying for (we didn't have a written bid for his work). We also told him that we were especially disatisfied with his work on the back door and that the bad storm after Harvey nearly flooded our kitchen and that we needed to use towels and rugs to plug the leak at the back door to keep the water at bay and from doing any real damage, even worse than when Harvey hit us. We think we were charged unfairly for the power wash and that never got fixed for &350!!! total . He did not ask for our satisfaction and checking his work he left. We feel he fooled us. The first time he left, he didn't put things back where they were orginally (flower pots, etc.). I think we could have done better if there had been other bidders. We recommend that you get a written bid from them that specifically outlines the costs associated with whatever is added and get your signature before they do the work.
Response from Company:
in reference to above review, before Harvey had hit I went to residence to give them a bid and price for the work consumer name withheld per their request) was requesting. I am a window cleaner and a power washer I only agreed to REPAIR the back door because (consumer name withheld per their request) had asked me to. I never did deal with the husband directly even though he was at the house every time I went back. The Thursday before the storm I went to try to do the work but the storm was already about to hit. There was about 3 weeks that had past due to Harvey. I contacted (consumer name withheld per their request) to see if she still needed the work done. I assumed she would remember the price agreement we had made prior to the storm. However I can see that they had some how forgot. If there had been an issue with the price I believe it would have been when she wrote me a check for 300.00 dollars but there was not. I gave per (consumer name withheld their request) two 5 hour time slots both times I went to do work at her house I was in no way in a rush. The first time I did work for (consumer name withheld per their request) She said that she would pay me 300.00 that day and another 50.00 when I went back to do the sidewalk and paint the back door. I explained to her that the amount rot on the back door was very bad and that it needed to be replaced.and there was no guarantee that a repair would resolve the problem. I told them that if they bought the door I would install it. She kept saying that they are going to sell the house and that they did not want to put a lot of money into it. I even offered to go back a third time free of charge to put more weather stripping around the back door if they would like. Customer satisfaction is VERY important to me and I tried numerous ways after numerous conversations with (consumer name withheld per their request) (over the phone) to satisfy them but it seems that hurting my business is what will give them satisfaction. I Will have to agree with (consumer name withheld per their request) on this. A bid via email has always worked best for me only in this instance I did not feel I had to do it since we had discussed it for about a month. Lesson learned.
