Write a ReviewThey are very busy so slow going at first but they picked up the pace and are doing a great job. The pool turned out beautiful and we are very happy with the end result. We would recommend Pool Innovations.
I was nervous switching from a fiberglass pool surface to mini-pebble. The Aqua White mini-pebble with crushed abalone is spectacular. We also had the cool-deck refinished. Spectacular! An absolute pleasure to look at the pool again!
I hired this company Jan. 19, 2018. Pool Innovations was paid $6350.00 to resurface my pool. Very poor communication throughout the entire job between me and sub-contractors. The job turnout so so! kind of sloppy. My pool was never started up properly as per the contract. Drain covers and fittings were never installed per contract. After properly balancing water myself and replacing all covers and fittings the pool seemed ok. Toward the end of summer 2019, the pool plaster began to delaminate!!! during the next few months, I tried to contact Pool Innovations. The phone numbers I had did not work, one was disconnected the other had a voicemail box that was full. I tried to track them by address. The new address I found at that time, which appeared on all their paperwork and business cards belonged to a different business of the same type. (Immediate Pool Builders.) At that time others had these same problems and posted similar findings online! (Google reviews for Pool Innovations) On Feb. 10, 2020, I called the State Board of Contractors in regards to this matter. They told me at that time there was nothing they would do because my Warranty had expired on Feb. 2, 2020 In September, I finely reach them via phone. After several calls, I was able to reach them. I ask for a return phone call from Steve or carmine. They never returned my call. Around the 1st of October after several more calls, I told the women who answered the phone that my pool plaster was sluffing off and looked like the moon, creators thru-out. From this point on they would not answer my calls. On October 5, 2020, I sent them an email. Immediately after sending that email, Steve called me. He said he just wanted me to be happy several times. At that time, he agreed to visit and see my pool. Upon his arrival, his first comment was that I acid washed my pool. I told him I had not. Then he said it was my water chemistry. At that time, my water was checked by a third party, the only problem was the phosphates were over 400 parts per million due to the plaster decay. He then had his current plaster contractor come by to see what could be done to fix this problem. On October 1 16 2020 Steve Schelthoff called me and left a message that he and his plaster guy agreed that the damage was due to the improper pH of the pool and he would not do anything for me or my pool. The NPC has no evidence that pH imbalance can cause this to plaster in a pool! To date, I am into this problem with my pool to the sum of $12,161.00. Thank you for this opportunity. Brent B.
Our pool is beautiful! The proposed changes they suggested to us turned out better than we could have expected. We were going to just get the pool re-plastered, but a Mini Pebble finish was suggested and it turned out so beautiful! We also had a hand rail installed for our safety. We also had the deck surrounding the pool refinished as it was cracked and chipped. It looks beautiful too. Now when family comes to visit we have a pool to enjoy with them. Pool Innovations exceeded our expectations for our pool.
The crew doing the work was great. The problem with this company is communication. They do not respond to requests for information on scheduling or even on what will actually be done. It would be helpful if they would provide a document detailing what will be done and have someone call or at least text when someone would be at the worksite. As it is I need to sit at home waiting, hours until someone actually arrives.
Finished product looks great. Took 4 weeks to complete. Communication from front office was poor. Carmen did a great job going over process and helped me save some money. Thank you
Do not pay the final balance until EVERYTHING is complete. I never heard from them again after I paid even though they had promised to retire a section that did not look good on the spa. When we contracted for the work the sales person said they wold re program the panel for the automated filter pumps etc. When they refilled the pool they said they did not know how to do that and did not have anyone who did.....They also broke 2 landscaping lights that could not be fixed and no compensation or repair was offered.
Good job resurfacing pool. Get the abalone for a pretty sparkling pool.
Great work and it was done quickly!
Pool looks great, crews did nice job. They accommodated my request to do the loud work on specific days due to work from home situation.
