I signed the contract to have my pool remodeled on 5/2021 with the understanding they would start the job in September. The chipout process started on time, but I had had a couple of questions that have not been answered. Carmine sees volatile. Screams and yells at me for wanting to know how long the job will take. The person who contacted me a few days back asking for the $4000.00 down payment was rude and also felt she could yell at me over the phone. I had to remind her I am a customer that is paying for a service and deserve to be treated with professionalism. She did apologize but I have the feeling no one is supervising this company or its employees. So far it has been a very concerning experience. Carmine does not initiate contact unless I do. I want to believe things will work out at the end but by reading the most recent posts I fear I will not get the good customer service I deserver. I will be updating my review as they continue working on my pool. ***UPDATE 11-02-2021*** Soon after my first review was posted Steven came to my home to personally handle my concerns. He was courteous in explaining details to my husband and to me about the job to be done on our pool. He also gave us an estimate of the time it will take to finish the job. Everything was right on schedule after that. Sub contractors showed up when they said they would and did their job without problems. The person adding the chemicals to the pool came over on 10-21. The pool looked very nice for a few days but yesterday we noticed what looked like pebble discoloration to us. I texted Steven yesterday about it. He texted me soon after saying I needed to contact Maria at their office and that she will schedule the Applicator to come out and inspect the pool. I called earlier today but there was no answer so I left a message with Maria at their answering service. I hope to hear from them soon. About Mr. Carmine's post I just want to clarify he wrote in my contract that 27 feet of rolled bonbeam was to be removed. When the people they subcontracted with removed it Mr. Carmine was on the phone with me highly upset blaming me for it and letting me know I will have to pay about $2700 more to repair it. When Steven came to my home I shared this with him he assured me I would not have to pay anything for that and clarified even though my contract had asked for removal the subcontractors should have known to chip it out and not remove it. That is when I said call Innovations to take it up with the subcontractors not with me. Most of what Mr. Carmine posted is misleading and some points are utterly untrue but I will not bother to go over everything he posted. I will say this much if you are remodeling your pool and have the extra time for this type of back and forth, accusations and half truths then this is a company that might work for you. I will further review this when the inspectors follow up with me.

Response from Company:

Dear Ana, I do not ever write back to people about their reviews but you attack me personally. let me state facts , not opinions. I had my guy go out to drain your pool on the day we agreed upon and he went out there and was not able to access. Not a problem. I resent him out to drain your pool. I told you the date that they would chip out your pool in advance. the workers showed up that day. After the pool was chipped out you called me expressing that you wanted to cancel the contract not because we did anything wrong but because you wanted to have waterfalls removed that you did not contract for. You then went behind our back and had the chipout guy go out and remove some of your rolled bond beam which we do not do. We build it up so it looks fantastic. You paid him on the side for something that is now going to cost us more to do. when I spoke with you I asked why you did this and you told me it was between me and the chipout guy. you didnt want to be involved even though you caused the issue. anyway the fact that you are saying myself and Maria screamed at you is an absolute joke. I listened to Maria on the phone with you. She asked for the payment which you owed and used a credit card that was declined. She said to you that we do not schedule until payment is made. That is on the checklist you signed. she never yelled at you, she said she was sorry if you didn't understand why we do not schedule until payment is made not for yelling at you. when you spoke to me after that I explained that you had to pay for the extra areas where you had the waterfall removed. you wanted me to come out and see the pool. i told you I would the following day. I text you back 10 minutes later with a time. I then received a call from the answering service saying I was yelling at you, which I never did . That statement in itself is so funny because I am one of the easiest going guys I know. Anyway, we had the construction manager go meet you to resolve the situation on my behalf. So overall this shows by fact how much I have spoken to you and I also told you we would be done in a month or less. All I have done is drained and chipped your pool and I have spoken to you a minimum of 6 times and numerous other texts. Trying to badmouth people online has become the norm way to often in this society. I dont mind opinions people have but there also must be fact behind it. I also do not appreciate people making comments about myself or members of our company trying to purposely say hateful remarks about the person and not the workmanship. The staff are such good hearted people. In closing I really do know you will enjoy the pool for years to come . We truly put our heart and soul in our work and it shows in the final product. Carmine

A 3 week pool remodel took 7 months to complete plus getting the AZ Register of Contractors (AZROC) involved. Our pool was empty for 4 months. There is zero accountability from the owner, Steve, and salesman, Carmine. Carmine will tell you whatever you want to hear to get your business, but he will yell at you and not answer calls/emails when things go wrong. Pool Innovations subcontracts the chip out and plaster/pebble of the pool. They give you zero timelines on when the work will be done for that and for tile/coping. There is little to no communication. If you have anything special on your pool (e.g. In floor cleaning system/pop ups, light, debris drains, spa, etc), they donâ t know how to handle that and act like itâ s your problem, not theirs. The subcontractor gives you basic pool drains and fittings. Our in floor cleaning system requires debris drains and proper down jets. Pool Innovations wanted to put standard main drains and improper fittings that would not function properly with our system set up. They donâ t care about your pool unless you get the AZROC involved for abandonment and workmanship issues. This is how we got our issues resolved once their license was in jeopardy and/or they were at risk of getting fined after being issued a written directive by the ROC investigator. We paid $1,000 out of pocket to get our pool working properly. Yes, we were reimbursed, but it was an awful experience to work with an unprofessional company like Pool Innovations. To make matters worse, the owner is quick to serve you a mechanical lien for non-payment even when their work isnt done properly. No one calls or even comes to look at your pool from Pool Innovations to even ask if you are satisfied with their work.

Before anyone hires them take a look in to their bad Google reviews since they have done the same thing to thousands people, he asks for money and don't do the job, I went to their office and is a hole that is nothing there, they destroyed my backyard, patio and furniture, he tried to scam me asking for more money last month ($4,000) even though I have already gave him money I paid $3,000 and they cash the certified cheque , since they one they broke the contract, he showed up one week late and they don't speak English, he does the same to all people based on their reviews.

Took several more weeks than quoted. No updates along the way. Had the chase them often to know if someone was showing up between each stage. Left the area a mess, never followed up to confirm satisfaction.

We are more than happy with the quality of the pool and that is most definitely what matters in the long run. 1. The demo team was able to salvage a couple of the tile critters that we had. ð 2. All of the employees that came and did the work were so respectful. A couple times, one of the guys would come and ask if we were happy with the progress. 3. We had a couple communication mishaps. We would pay one employee and then the next day we'd get a call that we need to pay. There were many phone calls back and forth to keep up with the progress. 4. Because of covid, there were delays in the progress and we weren't able to get our first (or second) choice in line time, but Carmine, with his experience helped us pick one that matched the pebble rec, and we like it better than what we will have had. 5. There was a detective pool line tile put in. We caught it and let them know it needed replaced. They had even left a couple of the tiles so why did they place a defective one? The next day, they came to spray in the pebble tec. He didn't understand what I was trying to tell him about the tile needing replaced before spraying in the pebble. He was Spanish speaking only. The work had to stop while they brought in a different gentleman to replace the tile. My husband had to rush home because he speaks Spanish, to ensure that it would finish smoothly. 6. We love them finished product. We did this project in January/ February so we were happy with the time line. 7. We would highly recommend Pool Innovations. We are so happy with the finished work.

They have not even started. Bad customer service. No shows. Cant rate on the work because they have not started. Signed contract 2 months ago and was told they would start following week. then I get not response. Was finally told they would be here on a date, came and drained my pool. And no show no call no reply for 2 days. Was told I was not scheduled that day but would be the next day. Still waiting and plaster is ruined, cant fill it back up now. VERY nervous on their quality and do not know what to do,
