Contacted Mark Anderson in the morning and he was here in the afternoon, at the time he said he would be. He installed an outdoor light and did such a great job, I asked him to put up a ceiling fan, too. His fee quote was by far the best I received for these projects. I would definitely hire him again! He went above and beyond my expectations with his work! Outside of his electrical skills and fair prices, the thing that impressed me the most about Mark was that he is a good, honest, family man!

Was able to see us on a Saturday for an emergency power outage. Ultimately the problem was from the power company, but Mark was able to quickly diagnose the problem and gave me the inside procedure for getting help from the power company. He even follow-up the next week to see how we were doing. Highly recommended.

Mark Anderson personally contacted me within 5 minutes after I made my request on Home Advisor Website (this is great because the other Home Advisor vendors did not even bother contacting me regarding my request) Mark gave me an estimate and completed the job at the same amount. There was extremely great Customer Service from the first contact till the "follow up" call after the job was completed. The master electrician Joel who completed the job was extremely professional, very knowledgeable and very friendly. Was very considerate not to damage anything in the house and did a great cleanup after he was finished.Mark called me later as a courtesy "follow up" call to confirm everything went as planned and that I was satisfied. I would surely recommend Mark & Joel for any Electrical work and have given them a 5 Star rating !!

Mark and his team did a great job getting five new ceiling fans installed in our new home. He was very informative of the features of the fans, left no marks or holes in walls that needed patching, and even got the job done in less than 4 hours. Great electrician, reasonable rates for what we had done, and very informative on the latest equipment and installations.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
