Conservative approach they took unnecessarily would have added Thousands to the project. Seemed like a CYA approach, with little concern for the extra expense to the homeowner.

While no one wants a recommendation from an engineer that costs more than they expected or wanted, sometimes safety and integrity warrant it. We did take an appropriate approach to your project ? there was nothing unnecessary or extra. The soil environment in your area is among the most extreme high-expansive soil environments in Colorado. Knowing this, we designed accordingly. We understand that expenses are frustrating ? but we frequently see the expensive repairs needed for those who build without taking soils into account. We are confident that our recommendations were covering your backside, if you will, and were in your best interest.

Zach worked with us and did a great job. He was timely, courteous and very professional. He had great recommendations & input and should I ever need any type of structural engineering advice or reporting I would request Zack again.

I trusted this company, and when the going got tough, and they no longer wanted to deal with the issues I had, they terminated their services with me. I gave the owner time to work on my issues, and he did not respond to any of them, not one, except my last email to him he responded. We have terminated our services with you. I have directed my staff to no longer spend time on your account. Please stop communications with my staff. Scott not once tried to work this out with me. I have to say that the design work is fine, but be very very careful of other things you ask them to do, like project management, they did pre-bid work, came out once because the contractor whom they highly recommended, could not read the darn specs for simple measurement, and I was charged $200.00 for that project management site visit and pre-bid work, they decided to charge to the funds set up for project management. I even walked outside when the engineer was here and not one word to me what he was here for or what he discussed with the contractor, even though they charged me for this visit when they really I believe with all my heart that they should have charged the contractor for his failure to read a simple measurement. They had given me a lump sum charge for project management, never said a word that the lump sum was based on any amount hours and esp. Did not say it was based on $200.00 per hour either and not one word in the invoice language that it included anything but project management. I have that proof. I had also hired them to oversite another contractor, that work never happened, and they only refunded me about half what they charged me for and did nothing as far as oversite of the work goes. I have that proof too. This review is based on facts and what they actually wrote in their invoices, which did not align with the services they said they were charging me for in these two areas of service I described above.
