Reviews
Write a ReviewProfessional & polite getting the plans we needed for the next step for our project.
Great.
Quick to call us and book for the evaluation. Very knowledgeable and just what we needed for our project. I have no experience in this area, so I was a little shocked at the price at first but know that itÂ’s based on the time spent by the engineer drawing up the plans and worth it to do the job right.
Scott seemed thorough in his inspection of our home and inspired confidence in us that he knows what heÂ’s talking about. He connected us with a trusted GC immediately following his visit. For the price we paid for an initial visit, I would have liked some written notes from his assessment rather than to receive everything just verbally, but I think their estimate indicates upfront to expect that.
Well qualified PE - construction staff where able to do the work. Work was inspected by the City and passed. High quality
Company charged $275 for a visual inspection. Then, after the inspection, it would cost 200 for report and recommended repair. Then another $275 to come out and inspect after repair. None of the add on charges were disclosed upfront.
We work hard to provide excellent service. To ensure there isn't confusion or surprises regarding fees, we take the following actions: - Record all calls. We have reviewed this customer's call and can confirm that our fees were shared with this customer, despite what his review said. - Include standard service fees in our confirmation emails. We can confirm that this customer received the email and thus our fee structure, in writing. - Have our engineers review services and charges at the time of the appointment - and have the customer sign when complete. We can confirm that this customers received the information for a 3rd time, as we have his signature on the invoice. We do offer a multitude of (30 +) distinct services, dependent on many variables including project scope, complexity, building department requirements, hours involved, location, etc. We do not review all 30+potential services at the time of the initial appointment, as that would be both irrelevant and time-consuming. Because we work with homeowners, realtors and others who may be unaware of the many engineering and construction complexities, we do our best to explain important and relevant information and fees regarding each specific project. We hope you can understand that, as professional engineers licensed in the state of Colorado, we do bill for our time in preparing and writing reports, liability assumption for accuracy of information contained with written reports, our time for travel to your home for a return inspection, as well as our expertise in providing the required inspection of completed work to ensure it was completed per building codes in your jurisdiction. These are not "add on charges" as you described them, but fees for additional services either requested or required by building departments. We do understand that, as a consumer, it is difficult to know all of the potential cost of a project or repair and that it can be frustrating to hear an additional service is required - that is why we work so hard to ensure our fees are understood and accepted in advance of scheduling any appointments. We thank you for your time in providing feedback.
I was in the middle of a refi on my home when underwriting requested an engineer come out to see if the structure of my home was level. I hired Level Engineering a year ago to come out and level my house. They came out with a laser level and checked every room in my home. My house if 46 years old, and had shifted a total of a 1/2 inch. I would highly recommend Level Engineering.
Scott was down to earth and did a thorough job!
Scott from Level Engineering came out to do a inspection on a raised spot on a basement floor in a house I was trying to buy. Thank goodness for Scott because I discovered the house had structural issues and decided to cancel on buying the house. I had a general inspector come out before Scott and he couldnÂ’t find issues with the structure and was there for 3.5 hrs. Scott was there for 10-15 minutes and found a major problem. I would totally 100% recommend Scott and Level Engineering to inspect the house youÂ’re trying to buy!!
Extremely knowledgeable about the fireplace project we were hoping to complete. He pointed us in the right direction to get our project started.
