Reviews
Write a ReviewBeautiful job. Terrific communication. Highly recommend.
John did our retaining wall, garden wall and patio area and everything came out beautiful. I Definitely recommend John and his crew - they are hard working, kept a clean jobsite, prompt, knowledgeable and very easy to work with. Even my neighbors were very impressed at how professional they were. I definitely recommend them and will use them for any future work. Thank you John!!!!
My basement walls and floor were in very bad condition from many years of moisture problems seeping through the cement. John’s crew stuccoed and dri locked the basement walls. They also stuccoed the floor and then painted with epoxy point. They went out of their way to find where water was coming in and addressed the condition. Also found a crack in the top of my chimney and fixed it, sealed around the sill plate, put in a dry well for drainage, re-pointed the bricks in the front of the house and front stoop. Marcello and the guys were very hardworking, neat and respectful of my home. I would definitely hire John Whigham for any construction projects that may arise in the future. Thank you guys, you did an excellent job.
I hired Tham to do basement waterproofing. They were very efficient and explained each step they performed.
John Whigham company came when they said they would and cleaned up very well. The work, roofing for my home and garage, replacing the shingles on the front of the house plus some minor pointing work on the front porch and walkway, was done quickly. Though one of the shingles fell off about a month later (the shingles on the front dormer) they came quickly and reinstalled it properly. So, why the poor review? 5 years after the job was done I had a leak in my kitchen. I have had 5 professional roof installers come and all of them stated that the work done around the rear dormer was improper. They all independently stated that the flashing was done improperly, that is, the step flashing was never changed and there was no ice flashing installed and this resulted in a leak. Worse, the labor guarantee was for ONLY ONE YEAR which is abysmal when compared to the industry standard of 5 to 10 years. He refused to fix the problem and so now the entire rear roof has to be removed and redone. Additionally, though I should have done more homework at the time to compare prices, he overcharged based on my subsequent researching, by almost $7,000 and this was confirmed by other roofers who were subsequently asked for an estimate. He is always trying to upsell, a minor criticism, but it can be very annoying as I get the feeling that he is more interested in making a buck than doing the work. Based on his warranty alone I never should have contracted with John Whigham and I do not think anyone should.
Very courteous
The company did a great job. Andy kept in touch with me each time there was a delay in starting. Overall a good experience.
He is awesome!! Did a great job!!
Paul, Andy, Alfredo, and the entire team were awesome! We have major roof issues, and they came, saw and conquered! We would up with a beautiful new roof that we love! Paul especially was courteous, helpful, funny, and a down to earth great guy! We would definately recommend this company!
John and his crew did a great job on replacing our old steps with new. His price was very fair. He checks on his workers as they do the job. They clean up immediately as well. I would highly recommend John to do work for you.
