    The ice making machine in my Kenmore refrigerator was broken by someone over the Thanksgiving holiday when they forcefully pulled out the ice bin when it was empty and broke the armature that was hanging down and controls the ice making. I called JDGC's listed number and left a message describing what I needed with regard to the broken ice maker, plus, the light didn't work when you opened the fridge. John called back within an hour or so and said that he was on his way from one job to another and would pass by Freeport, where I live, and would I be there for him to stop by. I said yes and in a little over a half an hour, he and his assistant arrived. He looked at the unit, took it out and tried to fix the armature, but it couldn't be saved and said he would have to order a new one. I pointed out that the light didn't work and he looked at the switch and told me it would need replacing too. He knew his stuff and was able to take the fridge apart where he needed to quickly and efficiently. He showed me the broken unit and then put everything back together and said he'd have to order a new one and a light switch. He explained that if the parts were in stock in would take between 5 to 7 days. If they had to be back ordered, it would take longer. I said okay and paid him for the visit. He said he'd call to set up an appointment when the parts came in. He called in only a few days and we made an appointment for the following day between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm. He arrived at 11:00 am, put in the new unit, heard it begin to work and replaced the light switch all in less than half an hour. Again, he was quick and efficient and no-nonsense and did an expert job. I paid him and we were done. About two hours later I checked to see if there was any ice and there wasn't. I called and left a message to the effect that I didn't know if this was to be expected and everything was normal, or should I have something to worry about. John immediately called back and explained that the unit has to first freeze the water and then it will start making ice cubes and that this would take a couple of hours and I should have ice cubes later in the afternoon. I thanked him for calling right back and clarifying that and sure enough, the ice bin started filling up as the day went by. Plus, John called back later in the afternoon to make sure that there were no problems with the unit and that it was operating properly. That call-back, which was not necessary and usually not done, showed me the caliber and integrity of the man and instilled complete confidence in me for this job and calling him for any future jobs. I assure anyone reading this that they will feel the same way if they hire John for anything they need done. He's that good!

    The ice making unit in my Kenmore refrigerator was broken over the Thanksgiving Holiday by someone pulling the ice cube bin out when it was empty in a forceful way that broke the armature which controls the production of ice. I placed a call to JDGC and left a message for a gentleman named John on the tape. He called back within an hour or so and said he was going from one job to another which would have him passing through my town, Freeport, and would I be home? I said yes and in less than an hour he pulled up with his van. I explained the problem and he and his assistant checked the refrigerator out, quickly diagnosed the problem and said that the unit needed to be replaced. I also had a long-standing problem with the light not working when you opened the door and John checked it out and said the switch needed to be replaced. I paid him for the visit and he informed me that he would order the parts and call me to set up an appointment to install them. He told me that if they were in stock it would be from 5-7 days. If they had to be back ordered, it obviously would take longer. I paid him for the visit and was very impressed with his skill and knowledge and efficiency with the way he and his assistant worked. They went right to work and solved the problem quickly and told me without any filler, what was next. I appreciated this very much and would wait for his call. It came sooner that I thought, within a few days, and he called to set up an appointment and we agreed on the very next day. He said he'd be here between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm and he arrived at 11:00 am. Excellent! They were in and out within 15 minutes and the ice maker came on immediately and he replaced the light switch within minutes. I squared up my bill and was extremely pleased with the service and very confident that I had made the right choice in hiring John and JDGC. After a few hours I checked to see if there were any ice cubes in the bin and there weren't. I called John and left a message to that effect. He quickly returned the call and told me that this was normal, the water had to freeze and it would be several hours before the ice cubes would be produced. I thanked him for clarifying that for me and he said to call him back if it didn't make any ice cubes. I said good bye. John called back several hours later, which he didn't have to do, but that shows you the caliber of professional he is, to make sure that the unit was working properly. I told him, indeed, it was and thanked him for the call-back to make sure that I was a satisfied customer. I highly recommend John and JDGC for anyone who needs the service he provides and guarantee you that you can rest assured that he'll get the job done perfectly, quickly and efficiently and you can feel confident that the 5 Star Rating I'm giving him is for real. He's definitely worth it.
