Professional, knowledgeable and helpful - I will use him again as the need arises.
Reviewed air leakage and power consumption.
Prompt, professional, practical, resourceful and genuinely interested in the homeowner's well being and the longevity of the home . . . Rick Bayless's willingness to provide ongoing support and collaboration with my contractor on the major renovation of an historic home in Asheville is invaluable.
He replied to my search immediately and set an appointment the next day. He was extremely knowledgeable in his field and explained the problem very clearly. I would certainly recommend him.
Rick came and showed me where I was losing heat and air. He took pictures and downloaded them to my computer and walked me through what needs to be done and what I can do on my own. It is very knowledgeable and answers any and all questions. I would highly recommend Rick any day.
Rick Bayless was highly knowledgable, and was totally focused on helping us understand where the heat leaks in our house are and how to improve things in a cost-effective manner.
This is by far the best investment I have made in my home. Rick Bayless is an amazing inspector. Not only is he certified in many fields, but he has practical experience that makes all the difference. One of the reasons why I picked Rick is because he only does inspections. He does not do actual repairs. This is wonderful because I know he is free of any bias or interest in discovering expensive issues. Rick started out by asking us what our concerns and issues were. We initially wanted him to inspect for mold that was causing health problems. That was just one of the many things Rick did for us. Rick did a complete top to bottom inspectio
Joe. I was pleased to hear that within 3 days of after you did the simple steps I suggested Melissa's headache went away, her sinuses cleared, and she could breathe more easily. As you discovered yourself, all it takes is the right guidance and a few affordable, usually do-it-yuorself measures and your house can better support your health. Thanks for putting your trust in me.
Rick Bayless has worked with me on 2 separate occasions and I plan to continue to work with him in the near future to complete my home energy projects. He is thoroughly professional and knowledgeable. I just wish I had known about him sooner. He made me aware of problem areas that no other service had considered. What a gem. I have learned so much about home energy efficiency. Some things I will complete on my own and some things I plan to hire Rick or others to complete. Finally, I know what to tackle first and not waste my time or money. I am so impressed and absolutely pleased with his work. I absolutely recommend him to everyone
Nancy. As you see, our view of the house together was equally about mold prevention, healthier indoor environment, pest control, energy savings, comfort, and saving money. I am happy to see that your house is now both Greener and Healthier.
this guy was nice enough and seemed like he knew his stuff. however he charged me 125 dollars to walk around the house with me for about an hour and a half while giving me advice on house maintenance. he expected me to take notes on stuff he was saying like it was a class or something. It seems like if he is going to charge such a high price for his professional opinion he should take notes and provide a report of something. the 125 dollars did not include a singe test or official verification of anything. no paperwork or receipt, nothing. it felt like a knowledgeable buddy coming by to give advice and then charging 125 dollars. poor value f
Ram, Thank you for allowing me to conduct a shortened version of my whole house review for you. I hope that my fee of less than half price was a help to you. Keep me posted of your progress on resolving the top 5 issues that we identified together at our visit: The backdrafting furnace, the molding storage items in the utility room, the disconnected downspout wetting the utility room, the oil furnace tune-up, and the drainage issue from the back and side yard. Call me to guide you through these projects. I am here to help. As we agreed, much of this can be do-it-yourself to limit expenses. My offer for a free follow-up visit still stands.Rick
