I feel, the service was overpriced.

The industry is dominated by either overly test-focused firms that leave too many home health elements unexplored, and moreso by sales- oriented firms that look primarily for only the part of the house that may contain a multi-thousand dollar project available to them. We saw nobody out there providing a thorough examination of the house from an experienced, objective, health-centered perspective. The result is that we see most issues either go unaddressed or that folks spent way too many thousands on "unnecessary surgery" house projects. A Healthier Home focuses on what was in the homeowner's best interests in addressing house, health, and of course mold issues. The first question from them to me was what were my health symptoms. I was so grateful that they came at all my issues from that standpoint, not just getting in there and doing the remediation.

I spoke with Mr. Rick Bayless at A Healthier Home. I hired him based on his knowledge, professionalism and expertise. He performed a mold test as well as a home inspection for my house in North Carolina. Mr. Bayless informed me that the test was complete and the results of the test by making a personal call to me as well as sending me and e-mail to verify the findings. I would highly recommend Mr. Rick Bayless and A Healthier Home to anyone who may have a mold problem in Western North Carolina.

Rick is extraordinary. I highly recommend him. His exam is a tremendous value. He is very detailed, thorough, and knowledgeable and he truly cares. He will thoroughly evaluate your home top to bottom and will educate you about problem areas and solutions. If you have moisture, mold, water drainage, bug, rodent, air quality, ventilation, health, house maintenance, or HVAC system concerns, Rick will help you understand what to do and make a plan to do it. If you are planning expensive projects like remediating mold or replacing an HVAC system, are having health challenges, or want a thorough proactive assessment of your home to prepare for or avoid future repairs and expenses, schedule an evaluation with Rick. It is worth it!

Of all the inspectors and professionals who came to our property, Rick was by far the most eye opening. He brought 10-15k dollars of necessary work needed on home to our attention prior to closing so we were able to negotiate a fairer deal with the sellers. NO other even hinted at such drastic bio hazards going on in our future home. With a son with complex health issues this meant so much to us. Would recommend him 1000 times over anyone else!!!

We were very impressed with Mr. Rick Bayless and his expansive knowledge about mold and mold remediation. He also seemed to truly care about our welfare and gave us good suggestions and referrals. Rick made himself available for follow-up questions without extra charge. I highly recommend him if you have mold issues.
