Humza expressed interest in our project and gave us some more ideas of what we could accomplish to make things better.

HCSE prepared my building plans for a detached garage/workshop. I initially intended to use an existing set of plans available from various online sources but couldn't find them with the vaulted ceiling I wanted and within my city's height restrictions. I approached HCSE with the idea of modifying available plans closest to my needs but after consulting with HCSE owner Humza Chowdhy he suggested that it might make more sense to have his firm prepare the plans themselves. After considering I agreed and Humza assigned one of his associates, Ron Yu to be the lead engineer on the project. As the project proceeded, Humza and Ron answered all my questions promptly, thoroughly and professionally. The plans were completed well within the established timeline and I was quite pleased with the results. I recently submitted the plans for approval with the Redwood City Permit Bureau and they were approved and a building permit issued after only one meeting with a plan checker. They turned around new engineering plans quickly, were very receptive and responsive to our needs and questions and were a pleasure to work with. Was very quick to create custom structural plans for a new exterior entryway for my house. The plans were accepted for permits without any modifications. I did some of the initial construction work myself. The plans were straight forward to follow. Any questions I had were answered promptly by the engineers at the firm.

Overall I was quite pleased with Humza.

I needed a structural engineer immediately as the seller refused to extend the inspection contingency deadline. After explaining my situation & needs, Humza generously got in his car and came out to my location immediately. Not only did he provide his professional opinion, he answered all my questions & patiently educated me on the structural integrity of the home. He allowed me to reach my own conclusion that based upon factual evidence. His knowledge & approach saved me from a bad purchase. His will be the 1st inspection that I do on the next home that I find!

Excellent customer service and attention to details

Humza was on time, very professional and thorough. He provided a structural inspection and the necessary report needed to satisfy an underwriting requirement for a home refinance. He explained the process and fees. He also responded immediately to my emails and immediately addressed any questions or concerns. Very good service.

They were on time, looked at the building and gave me an idea what I needed done in the intial consultation for $350, to proceed further would have cost more.
