An absolute pleasure to work with. They did exactly what I asked for and the result is more beautiful than imagined. I plan to use GRB for future projects.

I was very happy with the work done on my home. Ed and his crew remodeled my bathroom and changed a laundry room off my kitchen into a bar. The guys were prompt every day and were great to be around. I was comfortable letting them in my home when I wasn't home. They were very professional. Ed gave me good advice when I couldn't decide on certain things. Michele was great to work with when picking colors and design for my new bathroom. Michele met me at locations and helped me decide of the purchase of the items for the bathroom.

My specific project was a roof over an existing deck. Due to the challenging design of the windows and roofline, many unique angles and aluminum custom work was required. Gary explained this all to me during our initial consultation and bid. Later he returned with his chief project manager and we all reviewed the requirements, re-measured, and set the dates. This step made me feel like GRB would tackle the project with professionalism. There is a saying in construction "Measure twice, cut once." His project manager has been doing these jobs for 20-plus years, and the company has a great reputation. Once started, the work progressed quickly, only interrupted by rains/lightning in Louisville. The new roof looks awesome and I get compliments on it from friends and neighbors. I would hire GRB to do any future projects on my house.

Our bathroom is GORGEOUS! Gary was personable, and his team members kept us informed of progress, asked questions for clarification, and worked diligently until our bathroom project was completed. We will recommend GRB to others in the future. :)

There was heavy urine, feces and other damage caused by the birds & dogs and we contracted GRB Design for $30,025, which held themselves out to be a restoration company. They were to clean and sanitize the entire house, put 3 coats of paint on all walls, sand and refinish hardwood floors, replace flooring and remove and reinstall trim, replace countertops and removing and replacing cabinets, replace a window and remove wallpaper and paint walls. Much of the painting has started to peal especially where wallpaper was, many areas were not painted, spot painted or painted with less than 3 coats, used our pressure washer after upselling pressure washing of deck, very poorly applying squiggly caulking around nearly all windows, doors, and garage, sawdust left all over house, spray paint on windows, the replaced window is not insulated, was installed crooked and allows outside air in freely, the floors have several areas of pooled lacquer after we demanded they be resanded and refinished a second time when first was completely pooled, the floor was sanded by hand which is very inferior to typical electric sanders, we complained of inferior counter top replacement but they were only repaired with more flaking glue with same badly cut Formica, when doors were painted they were taken to the basement, a plastic floor cover was laid on a square of the floor and when doors were spray painted it painted the exposed concrete floor white or various squares and they tried to upsell painting the entire floor, trim was reinstalled crooked throughout the house or with large gaps, the counter tops have gaps at walls and glue and end pieces are peeling off and flaking glue in our food preparation areas, a ceiling fan was left with paint on edges of blades and we had to ask for face of blades to be cleaned of paint, when doors were reinstalled they were randomly put on wrong doorways misplacing locks deeming them useless, lots of useless materials and paint were left which are not allowed in trash, a towel rack was pulled out of wall and poorly patched, thresholds were not replaced, bathroom floor was not sealed and had gap at tub, upstairs toilet was cracked during repairs causing leaking and water marks on downstairs ceiling. Contractors had obviously never refinished hardwood or installed windows or counter tops. The long period between bad repairs and complaint was due to birth of first child, two full-time jobs and operating two LLCs with 10 rental houses, other repairs to house and trying our hardest to forgive and move on. I have filed a complaint against GRB Design, LLC with the Better Business Bureau.

Our renovation was a total mess from the beginning. There is no supervision or inspection during the work and as homeowners we had to constantly remind the crews of what needed to be done. On several occasions they placed incorrect tile and had to tear it out and replace it. GRB used subcontractors even though our contract specifically prohibited it without our approval. The contractor they used (Shawn) had no idea what he was doing and he also used substandard contractors. Our entire house was painted, all flooring replaced, both bathrooms were remodeled, fireplace surround replaced, wood flooring replacement/repair in our kitchen. The tile flooring turned out pretty well, although one year after the remodel the grout is now loose and/or missing and needs repair and many tiles are uneven. The master bath tile has several areas that are uneven and the grout lines show absolutely no consistency. I suggest that no one ever let's this guy named Shawn into your home. When we questioned his work he got so angry that he stormed out of our home. I asked that he be replaced and GRB refused. This is the reason I believe our project had so much difficulty. The project was supposed to take 4 weeks, and it took 10.

The project was performed, as promised, on time. All works were done with good quality but quite expensive.
