"The project was top notch. Not only did they consistently show up on time, but they finished the basement project early and were willing to reschedule the final walkthrough multiple times to accommodate our schedule. Final project turned out great!""

"When no one else would touch my 15 minute project for less than a 2 hour minimum, Ben and his sons squeezed me in. I'm in my 70s now and can no longer physically do some things. Ben was the only handyman to accommodate my situation."

Metal Awning Installation, Fabric Awning or Patio Cover - Install or Replace
"I saw Fitzsimmons Awnings on line after a few bad experiences with other awning companies (not calling back, wanting us to come to their facility to see how awnings are made BEFORE they would come out and measure, or take the job, etc., etc.). When I completed the questionaire on the Fitzsimmons site. I received a call almost immediately from John Fitzsimmons. He said he'd be out the next day and show me samples, measure the space(s), etc. It was all done in a matter of 30 minutes or so. He told me that they were booked for 30 days before they could get to my awnings. Sure enough, after 30 days, I received a couple of calls and they were actually installing them a few days later. I love look of the awnings! They are well made, beautiful and they fit perfectly. They took out a few small trees, as I had asked and they cleaned up all of the branches and debris and hauled it away. As nice and efficient as they were, I would recommend them to everyone! It was a wonderful experience and our home looks great! Thanks, Fitzsimmons!"

Painting, Pressure Washing
"Other than having to postpone to another day and arriving a little later than scheduled, the work performed was excellent. The whole place looked like new. They power washed our deck as we wanted, to prepare it for painting later; however it dug some places in the wood . Hopefully the paint will soak in good to protect the wood. I would highly recommend this company to clean your house and surrounding areas."

Recovery Services
"Jason Crapo removed our outdoor French Doors and installed a new sliding glass door for us. He is incredibly friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and informative. He went above and beyond when we ran into issues with the size of the door that we purchased. The quality of this install was second to none and the finished product exhibits a degree of craftsmanship that is missing these days. The door looks beautiful and changed the whole look of our dining room and patio. We highly recommend Sick Homes Solutions and if I could give more stars, I would!"

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
Louisville Addition & Remodeling Contractors are rated 4.8 out of 5 based on 40 reviews of 40 pros.
