I couldn’t be happier with the experience I had with Floor Coverings International of Pittsburgh. From start to finish, Jeff, the owner, showed an impressive level of care and professionalism. Jeff personally came to our home to meet with my wife and me, taking the time to measure our basement and stairs for the LVT flooring and carpet we wanted. He brought a beautiful selection of samples and I appreciated that he wasn’t pushy at all. He encouraged us to take our time deciding which spoke volumes about him as a person. His estimate was better than the large companies and the personal service was exceptional. Unlike the big companies that act like they are doing you a favor Jeff showed that he valued our business. Once we decided to proceed work began the following week. Jeff came out with the installer on the first day to ensure we were happy with everything. Alex the installer was fantastic! He worked quickly and you could see his nearly 20 years of experience in every detail! No long lunch breaks for Alex. He even asked if it was alright to work late to get the job done, which we appreciated. The final result is stunning! The flooring is beautiful, baseboards were replaced, and doors were reinstalled flawlessly. Our basement is now our favorite hangout spot. How many people can say that? After the work was completed Jeff returned to make sure everything was perfect. He noticed a few minor details that my wife and I hadn’t even seen and while we didn’t care he insisted that they be fixed! He was so focused on making sure we were happy that he almost forgot to take his check! Floor Coverings International is a company I’d recommend without hesitation. Jeff and his team delivered outstanding results, at a reasonable price and performed flawlessly on time! I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Floor Coverings International Greater Pittsburgh replaced the tile floor in the kitchen, bathroom and laundry room. We had a contract that was agreed and signed before the work began. After the work was done and the final payment was made they wanted an additional $500. The only additional material they had to buy was two bags of thin set and additional box of grout which should have been calculated for during the quote. He took my wife to the corner of the room that day and whispered he wanted more money. After the fact I contacted him and told him the additional money wasn't right. I told him I had done the following things that wasn't my job to do but I did thinking the agreed upon price would be lowered. 1.) Removed all appliances. 2.) Prepped Garage for tile work 3.) Was initially told would start Wednesday 31 Jan and didnâ t drop off equipment till Friday 2 Feb late in the afternoon. Started on the job 5 Feb 4.) Picked up tile myself and hauled it to the house and had to hand unload the 15 bags of thin set. 5.) Removed interior doors. 6.) Allowed installer to use my hammer drill. 7.) Picked up 2 sheets of ½â plywood and returned. 8.) Removed the nails on 2 sheets of 3/8â plywood over lament and then reattached. 9.) Helped installer to lift and shim hardwood floors. Took about 3 hours. 12.) Reinstalled all appliances except the fridge. 13.) Spent 3 hours to clean the floor. 14.) Reinstalled the interior doors. 15.) Electric heater in garage ran for many days. 16.) Repaired and wood filled, sanded, and stained cuts of wood flooring. 17.) Replaced wax seal on toilet drain 18.) They used the upstairs bathroom for three weeks. The floor company said I slowed the installer by helping him the day we shimmed the hardwood floor. On that day the installer thanked me numerous times and said I saved him time.

Jeff was so nice! Overall great experience

This project was done during the shortages just after peak covid so it did take a while but once the products got delivered everything went fine. The resulting floor was great - both vinyl in most rooms but especially the hardwood on a landing between wooden stairs. The installers were subcontracted but did a great job - especially the pro working on the hardwood getting an absolutely perfect fit and finish despite the odd shape.

Worst home renovation install and customer service experience to date. We had the majority of the house installed with luxury vinyl and the rest was refinishing original hard wood. We were not able to be onsite for the project and when we arrived we were mortified by the worst base moulding and installation work Iâ ve ever seen. Pieces were cut visually short and miter cuts did not meet up. Perhaps they only do a good job when the customer is there to babysit the workers. I wish I could include pictures with this review. A closet area was also forgotten about and we were reassured by Rob Gladu, the CEO that he would order more material and complete the job. He also kept pressuring me to pay for the job so he could pay his guys. I only found out later he told my husband that he wanted paid before we saw it so he could go in a weekend getaway with his wife. So we stupidly paid most of the balance. He has since ghosted us. We have tried on multiple attempts to reach him through his personal cell phone as well as through the corporate avenue. No one has contacted us or tried to make it right. No one deserves this treatment. Customer beware of Rob Gladuâ s Pittsburgh division of this company.

We are very happy with Jeff and his team. We are using them again on our wood flooring project.

An extra trip was needed to shave the doors.

Great selection and they take their time to make sure you are getting exactly what you want for your home.

Had laminate flooring placed throughout the entire first floor with new baseboards and could not be happier.

I had separate workers for flooring and carpet. Both very professional, thorough and made sure the room was perfect and clean. Sales process was comfortable and easy.
