Reviews
Write a ReviewFirst Home Improvement was able to build a shower from scratch since the one they ordered from California did not fit. They took pride in their craftmanship on building the shower.
First Home Improvements did a complete remodel of two bathrooms in our home. Gus, the project manager, called to schedule an appointment one day after my request was submitted through ServiceMagic. He arrived on time and proceeded to take measurements, offer ideas and review catalogs to inquire about our specific needs and wants. This was followed a few days later by a hand delivered detailed contract/bid. We signed a contract, materials were ordered and our projects began two weeks later. Marcelo, the primary worker, arrived early each morning and stayed late each evening to complete our two bathrooms in less than three weeks. Gus was available by phone, email, and in-person whenever I had a question. We are very pleased to recommend FHI.
We are just getting ready to begin 1/12/04. I am finding Guz Nunez to be very pleasant and easy to work with. I think I will enjoy this experience.
Now this bathroom is the best room in our home.
We had a small bathroom redone, and we are very satisfied with the completed work. Very pleasant and professional people to work with. Would recommend to anyone.
Gus is good to work with. He responds very well. But he needs to follow-up the jobs other people performed. Bath room tile had to do it again because they did wrong. Cocking was not good. Kitchen had a desgin flow and it took three weeks for the countertop to install. The man who put the door knob did a poor job and we had to do it again. It took so long. The whole project started December 1 and completed Feb. 17. But I like Gus's attitude to correct the problem quickly. I give him grade of good. He needs to hire quality contractors with experience. Thanks, Jacob
Gus and his crew totally gutted and installed an existing bath. Installed new tiles and bath fixtures. A problem later discovered with the toilet was repaired in a professional and timely manner. This company did a great, professional job, on time and within budget.
I was extremely satisfied with the quality of work that was performed for my particular need. It is very refreshing to see a company that takes pride in their work and this work to be done in a professional manner. I will definitely call upon them again in the very near future for some other work I want to do. Most of the companies I called before being directed to this website felt that my request was too menial and not costly enough. It is great that there are companies who do not feel this way and will help those who need services whether large or small. A very satisfied customer - Fran
Mr. Nunez came on time and provided us a quote. He was very courteous to my wife who oversaw the project. He quoted the job for labour only as we ahve already bought all the fittings. He helped us by picking up the big items from Home Depot. His worker Erick who worked on the job is an excellent and conscientious craftsman. He showed patience while working which almost always translates into a good product. Erick started work on a Thursday and worked a part of that Saturday with a colleague of his. The work was completed the following Friday. A total of 60 hrs were spent re-modeling a 40 sq.ft bathroom from scratch. Erick did an excellent jop of putting up new walls and tiling the floor and walls. He installed the sink, commode, bathtub and shower. He did an excellent job. We will happily hire him for other jobs and recommend him to other people. By the way, out of the four companies that bid on this job, Mr. Nunez was the lowest bidder!
