Signed the contract 2/13/25. Never heard from them again until mid march when the installation was supposed to be completed by end of March. I was actually given specific dates. No word, then I called in April, actually twice, no follow-up. Then I get the call in May telling me they are ready to schedule and they can get me on the books within the next two weeks. Almost 2 months after the dates expected. No communication. I had other construction people planned around this and all had to be rearranged more than once and I could not get an answer. I told them to refund my money I did not trust or want to do business. I was advised that I had a 3-day right of recission - well I did not know they were going to fail in 3 days. THere is no way to know they are not going to perform in 3-days. People should be aware and they are using a company called Bird-Eye that prevents people from posting bad reviews. ITs unethical. They are hiding the truth.

Install or Replace a Bathtub

The job was to replace the tub with a shower and glass doors. Wendell and Aaron were very professional. They arrive on time, ready to work, very pleasant, nice. This guys work so hard, they work all day and they finished in one day, they was very careful with their tools and such at the house. They did an amazing job. It looks so nice. I DO RECOMMEND THEM and you will be pleased with their work. Thank you guys.

Install or Replace a Shower

Install date April 9,2025. Today is May 21, 2025. it has been 42 days since the install. Company has not yet solved our complaint as of today's date. Our complaints were a bad finished product. 1. Caulking job was terrible (repaired after two trips) 2. Doors rattle at the bottom very easily. 3. Water leaks very easily while taking a shower. 4. Waiting time between complaints was not acceptable. 5. The project was not fulfilled to our satisfaction. As of today's date we are still waiting.

Tub to shower conversion. Awesome job and great customer service. I had a minor issue and Sebastion came out and fixed the problem. Very professional job. I love this shower and highly recommend Clearwater Shower and Bath.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
