ZERO STARS! CSE provided a nightmare experience, leaving us without hot water for an entire week due to their plumbers lack of experience installing a tankless water heater. They caused repeated delays, misdiagnosed issues (gas pressure vs. ventilation), had poor communication, and sent no-shows. Even after eventually sending experienced plumbers who fixed the unit, the installed tankless heater does not qualify for the Energy Star tax credit, which was the primary reason for choosing it. A complete waste of time, energy, and money. Absolutely do not hire them!

Called Chicago Sewer Experts to search for a possible leak after a water bill doubled the usual usage. I have called them in the past and have typically been happy with their work. However, this time they sent a tech who after I asked certain plumbing questions, explicitly said he was not a plumber? I was confused at that point as to why a plumbing company would send anything other than a plumber but I continued with his inspection. At the conclusion, he apologized for not being of any help and not locating any possible leak. He did however suggest I change all 6 toilet insides and quoted $125 per toilet, I declined. In calling another company, they immediately discovered a very obvious running toilet with a bad flapper. I was not at all impressed with this visit and being sent someone not licensed as a plumber, which is what I was expecting when calling a PLUMBING company. Needless to say, they were my go to but I may need to find a new go to plumbing company.

Very good service, explained everything, and I am really happy with the work. Will use this pro again in the future. Did not pressure me.

blockage in sewer line was NOT cleared. I hired another plumber who brought better equipment (much larger cable and cutter) and he was able to clear the line. Unfortunately, Chicago Sewer Exoerts did not get the job done.

First, the good. Woke up 1-20-24 to pipes frozen. Later that day, I reached out to Chicago Sewer Experts. Customer service dispatcher said they will come out give me an estimate for the work. The fella arrived very close to the expected time which was good. I live in the manufactured home so the majority of the piping was outside and under the house. Still easily accessible. They began working to thaw the pipes. They were here for 1.5 hours. (3:30 to 5:00PM) The contractor was a super nice guy, patient and stayed diligent til the work was done. After the pipes were open, he he returned with the bill for $950!!! Yep thats the bad. No advance warning about the hourly rate just a bill for $950. It took a while for me to keep my calm. No repairs, no busted pipes, only heating the pipes. After I barked and reminded him that they were only here for an hour and a half, you brought the price down to $641.25. What....the F!!!!! Yes I paid it but I want some money refunded. Thats just crazy.
