Write a Reviewdid a wonderful job
The crew worked very hard to remove asbestos tiles from 786 soft older house. Cleaned up well before leaving.
Great price and customer service, very professional. They removed asbestos popcorn ceiling and left the ceiling drywall more beat up than I hoped but did a thorough job nonetheless.
Business owner, Jesse Pena, was courteous and accommodating in our conversations. However, his crew of 3 men were inexcuseably careless and unprofessional. Painters had just finished painting my complete interior when floor installers discovered the asbestos. While the abatement process is admittedly messy at best, the CAP employees left hand prints far up my walls, left numerous staples in my walls, and left one of my windows covered with plastic in their rush to leave the last day. They damaged various pieces of my furniture by careless handling, including leaving black handprints on two of my mattresses. One of the workers left a drink bottle on my maple dining table, where it sweated and damaged finish. Since the crew boss was very limited in English (and apparently his helpers knew even less) and I do not know Spanish, we were unable to communicate except by hand signals and head nods which was extremely frustrating. I registered my complaints with Mr. Pena, along with sending him 40+ photos of the damage, which required two days by my painters to repair. To his credit, he apologized and said he would do some retraining of his employees. He also refunded $500.00 of the cost of the job (almost $4,000.00) to cover at least some of the damage. I thus find Mr. Pena to be honorable, but I advise any who consider using his company to get some assurances in advance concerning the care of your building/house and furnishings.
The cheapest asbestos removal rate around. The tape they used did peel off the paint, but it was probably poor paint to begin with (new homeowner here). Communication at first was poor since they never responded through HomeAdvisor but once I reached out, James was on the ball and easy to text and email. I kind of wish they also did ceiling repair so it could be one job, but they did well and updated me with photos. They were also very flexible with timing and payment. There are a couple of areas where popcorn ceiling was left on a window sill or something, but otherwise very good.
being forced to write in this ispace is the only thing i didn't like about this service
Very helpful and very professional
They were fantastic in execution. However they did get a decent amount of their heat sealant on the walls when they finished. Still would use again
Final project was excellent
