Reviews
Write a ReviewJesse is a true professional. He called to tell us he was on his way. He was on time, he knew what to do and how to. do it. It was an awful mess so we were surprised when he knocked on the door to tell us he had finished. The price was reasonable and it was spic and span. It was the first time since the ice storm it felt like home again.
They did good job.
Jesse, the owner, was very responsive in returning my call for assistance. Martine and Louis, the team that removed the asbestos, did a great job removing the necessary drywall (ceiling and walls) in a timely and professional manner.
They explained what they were going to do and answered my questions. I was satisfied with the work they performed and would recommend them for anyone needing asbestos removal.
Job was done in time frame given and work area cleaned up, great job.
I found Jesse Pina with Cap Construction & Environmental on HomeAdvisor. I hired to remove asbestos from my ceiling. I asked about a contract and he said that non was needed that this was a simple job that did not require a contract. He quoted a price of $ 1995.00 for three rooms initially then added $ 300.00 for a fourth room because the room would need sectioned off with plastic for removal. We have made plans that Jesse would come by my home to see what the rooms look like on the Friday before the work was to be done. On Friday I texted Jesse what time to expect him he said he was going to call me after lunch and then said plan for 7:45 - 8:00 am. He was referring to Monday the day of the job and I was referring to that day Friday. I texted that I was confused because I expected to see him that day. He did not text or call back so I thought maybe that he was still at lunch so I waited and called him back and hour later. He said he didn't need to come and see the place that he could just send his guys on Monday but that if I wanted him to come that he would come. * I felt from the beginning that his communication with me was not good. * Jesse did come to my home and hour later on Friday and he took pics of the rooms for his workers. His workers did come and work on Monday from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. After work was complete I saw that every area they worked on was gauged. I mentioned to one of the workers Martin that I did not expect to see the ceiling damaged. Martin said it was hard to remove. It was the same on every part of the ceiling where the asbestos was removed. I called Jesse at the completion of the work and asked if he was going to come and inspect the work. Jesse said no that he didn't need to . I said I know there may be some areas that would be hard to get off but I did not expect it to look the way it did. Nothing more was said and he did not respond to my comment. I felt obligated to pay and wrote a check and gave it to Martin. Today I had two contractors come to my home to give me quotes on the work that I need to be done and to repair my ceiling. They both asked me who did that work and that whoever had done it had messed up my ceilings and did a poor job. They quoted me prices and said that the cost of repairing it is more than what it would have been because of the damage when they removed the asbestos.
AMAZING customer service. They worked with my remodeling schedule, and got us on the schedule promptly. They did a wonderful job removing the popcorn ceiling with asbestos. Very thorough job! I can t recommend this company enough. Thank you so much!!!
Cap Construction was very liberal and careless with their removal chemicals. So much so that it flowed under the walls and into the garage and damaged the furniture stores in the garage.
I'm in awe of outstanding work from Jesse's crew! I had old asbestos-laden popcorn ceiling and needed it removed from the whole house. No other quotes were as detailed or low as CAP. The crew was scheduled in just days after my call, showed up on time with all the equipment and started right away. They showed me the pictures (because the place was sealed) and it was a bubble inside floor to ceiling! Afterward, the drywall was free of scrapes or gouges, walls were untouched, and they even vacuumed the carpet and floors! EXACTLY what I asked for and more! I'm so pleased with their work and I highly recommend them to anyone!
The gentleman was very knowledgeable and fully explain the process of testing and removing the asbestos. I fully recommend calling Cap Construction.
