Horrible work. Tank is exposed. Ruined yard. Refuses to fix their mistake. Said they going to show and they do not.

The work completed was started in mid-November, completed in December under frozen ground conditions due to pending sale of a house that we had under contract with the original owner, (not Ed O.). We finished the job under severe weather conditions in winter so that it would be completed for closing with a promise to return in the spring to grade and seed only! Watering is the new homeowner's responsibility. This was revealed in the sale of the property to Ed O. We returned in the spring and buried the exposed portion of the tank since original work was done in December and ground conditions were difficult at best. We went back in the spring, seeded, and covered the area in hay letting the customer know that he had to water the seed. Ed was unhappy about the hay and wanted hydroseed, we explained that the contract states hay and seed we do not have hydroseed equipment, watering is customers responsibility. We are sorry the new homeowner is unhappy and that they didn't understand the agreement we had with the original owners and we returned to smooth out the grade and seed again in the spring making sure that they understood that they need to water the seed and that the hay was to keep the seed in place. Due to dry conditions, the hay blew and the seed did not grow.

It was a pleasure to work with Greg and his family. Even through this COVID pandemic they did a wonderful job and went above and beyond. He also helped us removing some stumps unrelated to the project. He finished the project from proposal to seeding in a great timely manner and took care of everything from permit to inspection. We can not be more happy with the work he provided and would highly recommend Bemis Construction.
