Write a ReviewCould smell gas coming from my stove so called these guys to come check it out and level our dishwasher and stove as they were very crooked. The guy was 8 hours late, told me that the stove needed new gaskets for $1500, did the worst job leveling out the stove and the dishwasher I have ever seen and then a week later we started smelling so much gas that the gas company came out and told us the gas supply valve was actually leaking, the stove was probably fine and that we needed to vacate the house. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE.
Action Appliance in Aurora is a horrible company. They charged me 1400 and fixed the wrong thing and also caused a leak they refuse to fix. The worst experience!
Bad on multiple levels - My Mother hired them (I stepped into the situation after they had already arrived) Broken dryer so we decided to replace it with a 2nd (spare) dryer we had at the location. Action Appliance recommended we plug it in first to make sure it worked (smart) We did this, bin turned, but it did not heat up. Action Appliance told us heating element was broken and wasn't worth replacing. We payed him (and scheduled) $95 + $95 = $190 to haul both broken dryers away(they said were going to come pick up later in the day) & put both dryers on the curb. A few minutes after they left, I thought about it / looked & the 2nd dryer was gas - the Action Appliance rep had thought it was electric & when it was plugged in & did not heat up he stated it was broken) Brought the 2nd dryer back inside inside & called them shortly after they had left to cancel pick up for the 2nd. Many phone calls, eventually reached them & they were only willing to refund $20. All around bad experience
They could not give me a round about quote. Said it would be 150 to come out but if you did the work with them they wave the fee. As soon as the technician showed up he had a quote it was as much as a new dryer so that was a waste of 150. They are just scamming people knowing it?s going to be a high amount and collecting the 150. I definitely would recommend using someone else. Said they were on the way then someone else calls and said the same thing a half hour later so we waited an extra 1 1/2 for them to arrive. Do yourself a favor and use a different company.
My microwave on my oven/microwave combo unit hasnt worked for years only due to the door not making a good connection on the sensor to tell the computer board that the door is shut. Before the sensor fell i to the microwave we would have to hold the door shut to use the microwave & it worked fine, including my oven that continued to work fine up until Action appliance came to get the sensor for my microwave that had fallen back into the microwave & replace my light bulb also for my microwave. December 10 I called & told them what appliance I needed worked on as well as the details of what was obviously wrong so unsure why the tech, Dion showed up with out the proper equiptment to take out the unit out but still took it out of the wall just not the entire way or the proper way or a light bulb which resulted in me being inconvenienced of the 4 hour waiting window for him to return the following day. There was no reason this job couldnt have been completed with a 1 time service call & d
Allen replaced the heating element and fan in the refrigerator. He was on time, knowledgeable, neat and very helpful. We give him 5 stars!!🌟
I normally don?t leave negative reviews, but my experience with Action Appliance was too bad to ignore. I hired them to diagnose why my LG ice maker wasn?t working. I specifically asked the technician to check the control board, but he insisted it was just the ice maker part and charged me $160 for that ?diagnosis.? I bought and installed the part he told me to order?same result, no ice. When I called back, they said I?d have to pay another $160 just to have him check the control board. One representative I spoke with was kind but never called me back, and another was rude and condescending. I finally called a different company, who quickly confirmed the actual problem was the control board. Because of Action Appliance?s refusal to properly diagnose the issue, I wasted over $500 on unnecessary parts and fees. I filed a complaint with the BBB and will never use this company again.
Customer Service was terrible and refused to help the client. Our company was willing to pay thousands in repairs with consideration of more business throughout our different locations but they were rude and uncooperative.
? Beware: Total Rip-Off and Incompetent Service ? I would give zero stars if I could. Do NOT use Action Appliance. They are unprofessional, dishonest, and completely incompetent. I called them to fix my refrigerator, which should have been a straightforward repair. They quoted me $3,000 "by job" ? their words ? to fix everything wrong with it. I figured, for that much money, it should be running like brand new. Fast forward: they?ve been to my house THREE times, and guess what? The refrigerator still doesn?t work. Now they have the audacity to tell me there are ?additional issues? and want to charge me another 500 to "fix it correctly." Let me be clear: $3,000 should have covered everything. That was the whole point of the "by job" quote. Finding more problems after the fact and demanding more money is nothing short of highway robbery. Either they don't know what they're doing, or they're stringing customers along to bleed them dry. Probably both. Stay far away from Action Appliance
