Te Ch that came out was very honest. I had called fo a mini splt system. His recommendation was something different saving me approx $10;000. It is rare these days to deal with corperations out to sale you more than you need and even rarer to have someone suggest a cheaper alternative.

The installers showed up earlier. The installers were very professional and courteous. They explained what was done and trained me on the use of the new thermostat. They cleaned up after the job was done. Great experience.

Not only was ARS/EAS responsive to our first inquiry, their follow-up was spot-on. After the completion, they cleaned up their areas and left everything operating as it should. And the best thing - everything passed city inspection the first time!!

We hired ARS (which is Home Depot's approved installers/repair company) to replace our A/C unit for our upstairs area in our home. We paid aprox $8,000.00 for the compressor and coil which was in line with the other companies that had come and quoted us as well, but made the decision to go with ARS since they had the backing of such a big company (Home Depot) and were recommended by Home Advisor. They insal took about 1/2 a day to complete, and within 24 hours the unit was not cooling our upstairs. We had to wait for a service tech come back out two days later, and were told that they didn't put the right amount of Freon in our unit. Our unit should have had 10 pounds and this only had 7 in it, so the tech added the additional 3 pounds and left shortly after. Within 24 later the upstairs again was not cooling, so again I had another tech come out a day or two later and was told that I was a minor tweak/fix and he had it up and running and we were good to go... Well later that night I tried cooling the upstairs and guess what...barely no air flow, it dropped a degree in 4 hours! I called the next day very upset, set yet another time (days later) to be home to meet with the manager Scott this time, and once he finished his accessment he told me the coil was bad and needed to be replaced. Ok I stated so let's replace it, since I had just spent $3000 for a new coil less then 10 days ago. He stated that was not a problem since it was under warranty...really... So finally three days later I was able to get back on their schedule and get my coil replaced finally. Scott (the manager) also made it back to my house to over see the project I'm guessing, however after he was going over what they did he made it seem like it was a favor to get me handled and working properly. This after I told him that it was inconvient to be meeting with ARS a total of 6X's in less then two weeks (working for a living), he said can I see your paperwork because my system only shows us being here 1X... 1X really, I told him he's been to my house two times in a week. With that said I sent him on his way... Key points: Sloppy work, poor scheduling, warranty after 1 day or purchase, non priority, bad communication, messy, and least of all arrogant.
