"I had the pleasure of working with Van Ness Heating and Cooling after my AC compressor supposedly went out. I had requested estimates on a new unit so had lined up 6 contractors to bid - including the company that originally told me my compressor was out. Michael from Van Ness offered to take a look at my unit to provide a second opinion. I had the original contractor coming later in the day but thought that it could not hurt for him to just take a look. Low and Behold - it was not the compressor at all. The problem was just a part with in the AC that cost a little over 200.00. Van Ness saved me over 5500.00 by thoroughly diagnosing and fixing the situation and even cleaned the unit for me. He was also the most thorough of all of the contractors that provided bids for the new unit reviewing every aspect of the project. He went above and beyond in my opinion, is honest and know's his business inside and out. I will utilize Van Ness for all of my heating and cooling go forward. "Hedrick Mechanical specializes in HVAC and residential plumbing. We have used Hedrick for over 15 years for our AC and heating needs. Most recently, we had a leak with water bills of $900 and $560. Since it was going to take too long to get help from the city of Dallas and we liked the service we received from Hedrick's AC and Heating, we call them to find an expert plumber. Pete Hernandez along with others on the Hedrick's team took care of our leak. They kept us informed of the project and were very mindful of keeping our home clean. They were professional, kind and did an excellent repair. "Our technician, Arnold, responded very quickly to our request for service and arrived on time. He was friendly and professional, and was able to diagnose the problem we were having with our A/C quickly. He didn’t try to sell us on anything we didn’t need, which was a concern since our A/C unit is older. He was honest about the fact that we would likely need to replace our unit within the next couple of years, which we already suspected, but reassured us that a repair was all that was needed to get our unit back in working order. He provided a very reasonable estimate and performed the work quickly. After the repair, our A/C worked great for at least a couple of years. We called him to come out a few months ago for what turned out to be a separate issue. We haven’t had any problems since. Arnold, again, performed the work at a fair price and to our satisfaction. "This company is by far the most responsive, professional, skilled and compassionate service provider I've had the good fortune to come across in all of the DFW metroplex. Last autumn, the AC unit that cools our bedrooms upstairs had gone out, but at the time my husband assured me he'd handle it before summer came around again. Shortly afterward our marriage dissolved, and order gave way to chaos as a lengthy 6-month divorce ensued that consumed our family. In May, when I was able to turn my attention to the house again, several problems existed that needed immediate attention; the AC being at the top of the list.
