"6 months prior to hiring Larson's Air Conditioning and Heating Inc. , Air Experts checked my HVAC system and told me the AC was shutting off before reaching the thermostat set-point. The Air Experts technician said it was because the Freon pressure was low and that there was a leak in the A coil. Since the Air Expert technician did not check for a leak, I asked him how he knew the leak was in the A coil. He said he knew the leak was in the A coil because of his years of experience. He told me it would be best to completely replace the entire HVAC system and quoted me a replacement. I told the Air Experts technician that the system was only 7 years old and that it should last much longer than this. I was suspicious of Air Experts eagerness to sell me a new system. I told the Air Experts technician to recharge the Freon gas and I would check it again in 6 months. After 6 months, I discussed the situation with Ron Larson and he said it would be best check the AC system again. Ron Larson and I also had a lengthy technical discussion about how he and his technicians would approach the problem. Ron sent his technician, Drew to my home. Drew confirmed the information and approach to troubleshooting that I had discussed with Ron earlier. Drew checked the system, and the Freon gas pressure was perfect. Drew told me that if there was a leak, it had to be very, very small. I trust this company, and I want to use them for my bi-annual HVAC inspections and maintenance."

The installers noted some inefficiencies in the duct-work of the old system and corrected them to improve the airflow of the new installation. Great work and very professional staff."

He was able to answer my questions and show me numbers I knew I had to have for efficient working off my system. He replaced the part. For $225. The company I first called to have a look at the A/C quoted me $3231 and multiple other options with replacement of fan motor, compressor and capacitor. The capacitor was replaced and all the other numbers normal. I already told two of my neighbors who asked if my A/C was fixed.
