"Had a gas furnace that would turn on and then turn off immediately. Had another local give an eval initially, but that guy said I had to replace the whole furnace unit. No way I would commit that quickly without a 2nd or 3rd opinion. So I called Jimmy up for a Saturday inspection to give his opinion. He was quick and tried different things to see what was wrong. Eventually he noticed that the flame sensor plug got corroded and after a minor rub down, the furnace stayed lit. He's pretty much old school from what i can see. Few words, no bs, just workman-like."

"I'll start off by saying that I did not know about this company beforehand and have only been a resident of NJ for 2 years. Mike (the owner) and his team of repairmen are very professional and talented!!! Fixing/installing the hot water heater was the second time I called Mike this year! The first time was earlier in the summer when the air conditioner was broken during a heat wave! He came over almost immediately and kept was transparent about the repair and cost every step of the way! He was able to fix it the same day...just like the hot water heater! Unlike the AC, it couldn't be saved (it was 10 years old), but he and his men worked 4-5 hours straight purchasing a new hot water heater, draining the preexisting one and installing the new unit...and I live on the second floor in a building with no elevator! The cost was definitely the icing on the cake - I seriously challenge anyone to find a company that provides a higher quality of work, professionalism and attention to detail with the value that Tanous Heating and Air Conditioning provides. A great find and a keeper!"

"I urge everyone to take a look at their HVAC/furnace/boiler/ etc. and if you are staring at it, the way I was, screaming WHAT THE HECK, call Kyle. If you are Youtube how to splice wires to install that smart thermostat, stop it, call Kyle. Seriously, just call Kyle. You hear the horror stories, I called for what I thought was $X and the HVAC tech came and now I have a $200X invoice. That is not the case with Kyle. I have been there, do-it-yourself projects exist, but your heating and cooling is not one of them. Do not believe me, call around; then call Kyle, then call Kyle back because you realize he is available, upfront, and transparent. That is what I did. Kyle helped me demystify my heating and cooling system. Now I stare at my HVAC system, knowing what is what, and how I can quickly troubleshoot it and maintain it. What surprised me the most, this is not what Kyle was required to do. He came to help us with something unrelated. Nevertheless, he stayed late, and answered all the questions my wife and I had; we had a lot. It felt like we had a friend over the entire time. Sure enough, that's how it felt when he left. In conclusion, thank you Kyle for being genuinely you; kind, courteous, and professional. "I would hire them again for any other heating issue that I may have in the future. The technician was very professional , knowledgable and prompt. I had an initial consultation; they diagnosed the problem, explained the next step, and gave me an estimate. They even used some spare parts I had remaining from a previous boiler repair, this kept my cost down. They were very affordable and within fair market value.
