"Fernando did an excellent job and I am keeping his contact info for future needs. He is very professional and shows up on time. He made wonderful suggestions on adding power for outdoor lighting and repair and improvement of a switch. Hi recommendation involved hiding the wiring by hooking the 2 devices up to a double switch on an inside wall. Other bidders suggested attaching almost 20 feet of wiring to the exterior of my house. He explained everything very clearly. He noticed an outdoor outlet that wasn't rain proof and suggested changing that out. Finally, his price was very fair and lower than other bids. I highly recommend FH Electric for any electric needs."

The job took 2 days: Replace and Install New Main Electrical and Sub-Panels to include minor electrical work for a 41-year-old Residential Home. Very professional and courteous! The PG&E and County Inspectors were contacted and came out to ensure that the overall work is done in a very safe and efficient manner. "Five stars from start to finish. Found Bay Area Electric on Home Advisor. James called ME the next day before I could call him. He asked me for more details about the job and then sent me a very reasonable proposal. I told him I'd like to proceed and he let me know the date for install - 4 weeks out. (Trades are so busy right now!) Danny and Tua showed up 10 minutes early and were friendly and professional. The light fixture over the sink could not accommodate the can light that I wanted due to a beam, but Danny offered up an alternate fixture that looks great. He checked in with us on spacing for the remainder of the lights as well as the height for the chandelier. They worked well together and I felt like we were partners in the project with them - letting them know our preferences and then they executed beautifully. Sooo pleased! I highly recommend them and will use them again!"

"I needed to have a charging station installed in my garage after purchasing an EV Bolt. I didn't know of any electricians and so I tired Home Advisor. I filled out a request on Sunday and Monday morning Tony Munguia called to say he could come at 1 PM to give me an estimate. He was promptly at my front door at 1 PM and he was very thorough in his estimate. He used a calculator on his phone to see if the correct wire size would fit in my existing conduit that went from our house to the detached garage. He was very personable and I connected with him while he explained his estimate. I accepted it and he and crew came promptly at 8 AM and excellently install the craving station in my garage. They cleaned up after themselves and completed the jon by 4:30 PM. I now k now of an excellent electrical contractor in Marin should I need one in the future. I would highly recommend their services."

- Before they arrive, prepare a precise list of items you want serviced. Electricians have budgeted their time for a service call. They don’t have time for additional requests once they are on site.
- Make sure the electrical panel box is accessible. You’ll pay for the time it takes to access it.
- Clear away fragile items, knickknacks and furniture from areas where you expect the them to work.
- If you have questions about the project, ask them before they start. Most are happy to run you through the problem and the process of fixing it.
- Ask about potential issues after the work is complete. During a service call a professional will spot any potential hazards.
- You’ll lose power to parts of your home while they work. Be prepared to pause anything you’re doing during the service call.
- In most cases you’ll have the option to either pay at the time of service or have a bill sent to you. You’ll be able to pay with cash, credit and sometimes check.
