"Mr. Lockard did what I considered a very hard job for a reasonable rate. He took the time to route the electrical cable through the attic area that was quite difficult to get to, which included a blind breezeway connecting the garage. Another company had wanted to drill holes in the brick siding and route the cable on the outside through conduit and drill another hole thru the brick garage wall. This was going to be very unsightly. Mr. Lockard solved that problem! Besides being competent he was very knowledgeable and easy to talk tol"

"Excellent work! Great communication before and leading up to appointment. They cleaned up the debris and took the old stuff for discarding. Transparent estimate and honest about pricing and what was included. Scheduling was right on time, and they took care of coordination with AEP and the county inspector, including the permits. Thank you for the excellent work! Highly recommended and will be used in the future! I can not say enough about honest work. We got estimates from others that were including work we didn't have to do, and it made a $4k difference in the estimates. Tech Connect didn't oversell or push what we didn't need, and they are worth 5 stars! We had our drop and electric meter replaced. We did not have to do any inside work. The drop was set up in conduit for protection from the elements, which had seriously deteriorated our original, causing rain to drain down."

"Above and beyond! Freedom pulled out every stop to source me a new ECOER unit when my HVAC failed; the least of which was driving to another state to pick one up and installing over night so I could escape 90 degree days as quickly as possible. They found ways to help beyond just repairing the unit as well - they changed my filter and even offering to carry a heavy package from the front doorstep to the back patio. They left the house in the same condition they found it, cleaned up their debris, utilized booties and tarps to keep the home safe as they worked. Thoughtful, mindful, honest and efficient. If you’re looking for HVAC guys give them all call - cannot recommend them more!"

Electricians do a fair amount of larger remodeling and new construction projects but also common residential projects including:
For cost information related to the above tasks, visit our Electrical Cost Guide.
A truly skilled, well-equipped professional with a truck full of parts that charges $100 an hour can be a much wiser choice than an inexperienced hack, working with inadequate tools and no parts, but charging much less. Often, more experienced professionals get the job done quickly with warrantied work.
2. Compare Travel ChargesRates reflect travel times. Travel charges can have a big impact on your costs and are in some ways easier to compare than hourly rates. Many electricians spend a third or more of their time navigating traffic on their way to a jobsite. Every contractor must find a way to pay for the expense of driving each day.
3. Bundle Repair Jobs TogetherWhen you feel it’s time to call a pro, review your list and then conduct a mini-inspection of your home. Look for faulty switches and dysfunctional or crowded outlets. When the electrician comes, you’ll save money and time by getting everything taken care of at once.
4. How to Prepare & What to Know Before the Electrician ArrivesRoanoke Electricians are rated 4.9 out of 5 based on 57 reviews of 57 pros.
