"Arash was extremely communicative, thorough, and informative regarding our project to look at structural cracks in our house. He walked me and my partner through what he was seeing, his concerns with them, and things we could do to continue monitoring structural cracks in our home. He answered all our questions and outlined a plan of action going forward. Highly recommend him!"

"Excellent service. They called me immediately. They arrived on time gave me an estimate and had tool in the car to cut the ceiling and evaluate the framing on the same day. In a day or so sent a 6 page report including pictures and the drawings required to get the permit from the city to complete the framing. They made themselves available so my contractor could ask questions if needed. They didnâ t waste time with multiple trips. One other company wanted to charge me $350 to come out then for an additional charge they would have to come back to cut the ceiling to do a complete evaluation. I donâ t have time to keep taking off work So I didnâ t use them."

"I called 3 other companies before Double D. Double D responded was able to come out the same day. Doug listened to my problem in obtaining a permit. My husband was impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. Doug promised that he would get the report to us within 7 days. We received the report within 6 days. Doug explained his report and what we needed to do upon our return to the permit office. He also stressed that if we have any problems at the permit office to call him immediately."

Comment: Hello, we moved into our home earlier this year, and have noticed some preexisting cracks in drywall, and some slanting to the floor. I don't think those issues have gotten worse, but we have noticed some doors sticking (metal and wood/painted) that didn't stick before. We would eventually like to remodel a bit, but want to make sure the house is structurally sound. The building is a townhome that is from 1978. Thank you!

Comment: Hello, My name is David and I've recently purchased a new home! The townhouse has a flat rooftop deck. We are looking to lay down roofing panels on top of the roof. The previous owners did not have anything to protect the concrete on the top. I'd like to know what kind of engineering considerations we need to keep in mind (weight, pressure points, proper drainage). Thanks!

Comment: I'm submitting a DC condominium builders warranty claim and they require " a detailed report from a structural engineer (along with proof of being licensed to conduct business in the District of Columbia) of the structural defects". I'd like to hire a structural engineering to complete the report.
