"Terry from Vortec Renovations contacted me almost immediately after I posted with Angi. He came next day to appraise the job and started it right away, which was very important to me as I could not make another appointment with meter installers until this job was done. Job entailed removing front and and top side of basement closet where my utilities meter is located (this needed to be done so utility can install a new meter). He tackled job so it would be less cumbersome and costly to reconstruct after a new meter is installed. I will contract him separately for that task. He then also replaced two 4x4 posts for a portion of outdoor fence that had been eaten away, securing them with cement. And he painted the lattice and helped support another section of the fence. Terry was very professional and personable, and reliable (a trait I highly value and is often lacking) . He worked quickly and neatly and I recommend him to everyone."

"I had used Mr. Wisniewski, whom I got through your service, to put in the porcelain flooring in my kitchen. I liked his group so much that I decided to also use him again for the painting, and was just as enthusiastic about their work. Thank you for providing this service."

"Akeem was very pleasant in his communication with me. He explains to me every step of the way what he is doing. It was new Weil Mckain boiler that was not heating our water supply. He explained to me what went wrong and what needs to be done"

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
Flushing Addition & Remodeling Contractors are rated 4.7 out of 5 based on 105 reviews of 105 pros.
