We hired Akeem to install a new oil boiler after reading the mostly favorable reviews and it was a not a pleasant experience. Yes, as some mentioned he was pleasant, but he did not complete the job that he was paid to do. Akeem was not timely, and did not have the proper equipment to take the boiler to the basement. This resulted in damage to our stairs. The circulating pump was not installed. We were charged an additional $1,100.00 for a pump that is a standard part of any boiler installation. Most of the pipes are cold, no hot water running through them. Radiators were not serviced properly and only the one in the bathroom is hot. Cut off power switch to the boiler was not connected. The old boiler was left in the basement and was only removed when we put the request in writing. Akeem dismantled the old boiler and placed it in our back yard. Akeem did not clean up after himself. We have verbalized our displeasure with his work by letters and text, and the problems have not been corrected. Bottom line, the time and attention needed to do this job properly was not given, and we now have to pay someone else to complete the job, and this should not be the case. Valuable lessons learned from this project.
