"We initially hired Shukhrat and his team to paint the interior of our house. They very extremely efficient and professional. Their quote was also more reasonable than a number of other contractors we interviewed. Eventually they did a number of other projects in the house including putting up wall paper in one room, replacing all the door knobs in the house, putting up shelves, changing out light fixtures, replacing bathroom vanities etc. Shukhrat worked with us extremely well and was very understanding when plans would change. He has become our go-to man for all our projects. He is respectful, honest, hardworking and does great work."

"Everyone with whom I worked was wonderful. They were knowledgeable, professional, and willing to rework certain aspects of the project to complete it in an outstanding way. They were working in an older kitchen that brought its own challenges, and they willing, and even eager, to reach solutions to complete the project."

"I sought out 2 merchants prior to inquiring on home advisor and Angi's list with no response. Getting on Angi's list Mr. Briscoe was the only one that called me. He came out within a day or so to survey the job and provided a reasonable and affordable quote. The start date was within a reasonable time. His workers were accommodating to my tenant's and my schedule and with showing/explaining to me the process of what they were doing. Vincent was a jewel in his work ethic. As they worked I was and am pleased with the work that was done. I informed Mr. Briscoe on my next project I will be reaching out for to continue my experience of "a job well done" Thanks again Mr. Briscoe"

"Ed Mainhart arrived on time, cleaned the gutters, nailed up loose places, and recommended NOT replacing the gutters at this time! His charge was incredibly reasonable, and he met with my tenant, saving me from having to race around because my husband was in hospital at the time. Ed is terrific!"

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
